TL: Are there any verticals in which Dropbox is particularly strong? TB: Small to medium enterprises are a key vertical for Dropbox and where we are seeing some of our strongest growth. These organisations are buying more complex and multi-product solutions than ever before, which Dropbox helps integrate. From a channel perspective, SMEs also need more support. Three other focus areas are the media, creative and construction verticals, all of which are showing really positive growth. Tools such as the Dropbox Replay add-on for image, audio and video review and approval offer great value to users in these sectors, by enabling business teams to collaborate, save time and accelerate delivery, whether it’s a sports club turning around matchday content for fans or an architect delivering designs to a client. TL: What are the key growth areas – or potential growth areas – for Dropbox and its partners? TB: As workforces around the world have become increasingly distributed, there is more and more opportunity for us and our partners to drive channel sales as customers depend on collaboration and productivity suites to work in this way. With many SMB employees using their own hardware, businesses must ensure their choice of productivity suite provides a secure data platform, while still enabling collaboration, the use of multiple applications and workflows, plus the ability for IT to control the flow of files. These are all selling points of the Dropbox suite. Another is the company’s use of 100% renewable energy for its data centres and its push to achieve carbon neutrality. As well as meeting customer demand for more sustainable business practices, this can help channel partners and their customers reduce their own carbon footprint and that of their supply chain. TL: How do you expect your product portfolio to evolve and open up new opportunities for resellers in the future? TB: Our secure eSignature solution, Dropbox Sign, has already opened up so many new opportunities for our customers, particularly for teams working in financial services, HR and legal. Contract-heavy departments that have historically relied on pen and paper have seen huge value in using Document Sign to digitalise workflows for documents that require a signature. In addition, we’ve recently announced Dropbox Dash and Dropbox AI, new AI-powered tools that we will continue to develop as AI technology evolves.
