technolog y reseller.co.uk 17 CMI doubles in size with acquisition CMI, one of the UK’s leading IT MSPs, has doubled in size with the acquisition of London-based MSP BTA, increasing its turnover to more than £11 million, its headcount to more than 100 and its physical UK footprint to three sites in Belfast, London and Maidenhead. The acquisition was funded by growth equity provider Panoramic Growth Equity. The union of CMI and BTA follows a chance meeting during the mergers and acquisition symposium at last year’s Kaseya annual European user conference, Connect IT Europe. CMI was recently recognised as one of the “most elite, innovative and strategic IT service providers globally” by the Channel Futures MSP 501 programme. Three Peaks success for team Excalibur A 14-strong team from IT communications and solutions provider Excalibur Communications has successfully completed the National Three Peaks Challenge, raising £30,000 for three South West charities nominated by Excalibur employees. Ferried 462 miles and fed by four crew, the team covered 26 miles up and down Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon within 24 hours, starting at 6:30am on Saturday August 3 and ending at 6:18 am on Sunday August 4.
