Green every which way
James Cropper 3D Products, part of paper specialist James
Cropper Plc, has launched a sustainable alternative to moulded
plastic packaging. Made from 100% natural fibres, it can be
recycled with normal paper and can be supplied in a wide variety of
colours. Chief Technology Officer Patrick Willink said: “This means
we can work with brand owners to match the specific colour they
need with real consistency. Although moulded fibre packaging trays
are in use in natural colours or white, our expertise in fibre and
colour allows us to make them in a greater range of more vivid,
consistent colours than ever before.”

Battery-powered
MFP
Ricoh has introduced a battery-
powered GELJET MFP ideal
for use at outdoor events
and other areas that don’t
have easy access to mains
power. The 29ppm Ricoh SG
3120B SFNw provides print/
scan/copy/fax functionality
on mains or battery power. Its
rechargeable battery lasts for
up to 500 copies or 1,000
prints and can be recharged
overnight. There is also the
option of a spare battery with
battery charger. In the event of
a power cut or fluctuation, the
SG 3120B SFNw automatically
switches to battery power to
ensure continuous operation.
A handy USB slot can be used
to charge smart devices.
