Galaxy Note a real draw
The Samsung Galaxy Note brings new
possibilities to smartphone users. Combining
the world’s first 5.3in HD Super AMOLED
touchscreen display; pen input technology
fromWacom; a fast 1.4GHz dual-core
processor; and HSPA+-enabled super-fast
connectivity, it offers new ways to create and
consume content on the move.
S Pen technology allows users to send
handwritten images and notes via text, email or
Samsung’s ChatON communication service; while
the S Memo feature gives you a single application
to capture photos, voice recordings, typed text,
handwritten notes and drawings, all of which can
be edited and shared.
To maximise the potential of Galaxy Note’s
pen input technology, Samsung has launched
the ‘S Choice’ series of applications, the first
of which include Soonr, OmniSketch, Zen
Brush, ComicBook!, and iAnnotate PDF. An S
Pen SDK will allow app developers to create
applications and services that make use of the
pen functionality.
Samsung is enhancing enterprise capabilities
of the GALAXY Note through its partnership with
Juniper Networks, which provides secure remote
access to corporate network resources via the
Junos Pulse SSL VPN.
A sign of the times
DocuSign Ink makes it easy for consumers to add signatures to electronic documents on a PC,
iPod/iPhone or Android device. No longer is it necessary to print a document, sign it and then
fax, scan or send it by post or courier.
Instead, anyone can drag and drop a legally binding signature and initials into on-screen
documents, add text and check boxes to complete forms and then return the document by email.
DocuSign Ink runs on the proven DocuSign Global Network already used by more than ten million
business users to complete more than 100 million transactions and can be initiated via any browser;
DocuSign Ink apps for iOS and Android; or via a DocuSign Ink plug-in for Microsoft Outlook.
It works with most document types, including Microsoft Office (.doc, .ppt, and .xls,); Adobe PDF
with form field recognition; scanned and faxed documents; and text and image files (e.g. .tif, .jpg,
.png, and .eps).

Kabbee spreads the net
A price comparison and booking service for
London’s minicab firms offers new business
opportunities for drivers and greater levels of
convenience for their customers.
Developed by Kabbee, the platform lets
customers book a minicab via a smartphone
app or Kabbee’s website. Interested minicab
companies can immediately quote for the
business, allowing customers to compare bids
and make a selection based on criteria such
as price or speed.
Kabbee claims its system offers numerous
benefits both for drivers and their passengers,
as it removes language barriers or confusion
about the pick-up or drop-off location and
enables drivers to bid for work outside
their usual patch, reducing the ‘dead time’
between pick-ups.
