Expanded Westcon role for Grant Westcon International, the technology distribution division of Datatec PLC, has appointed David Grant , currently serving as COO, to the position of President and COO. Grant has been with the Group since 2007 when Crane Telecommunications, of which he was CEO, was acquired by Datatec. Honorary DSc for Dr Roberts Andrew Roberts , Managing Director of Avoira, has been made an honorary Doctor of Science (DSc) by the University of Salford. The honorary degree was presented by Professor Nigel Linge, Director of the Data Science and Computing Directorate within the School of Science, Engineering and Environment, in recognition of Dr. Roberts’ contribution to the world of science and innovation and his 20-year relationship with the university.
