The contract could put Ascom Myco 3 smartphones in the hands of 20,000 care home staff in 1,200 care homes that already use mobile care monitoring products from Person Centred Software. It will also enable Person to offer Myco 3s as replacements for more than 5,000 Apple devices currently being used in other care homes. Part of the Ascom Healthcare Platform, the Myco 3 enables clinicians to respond to colleagues and residents wherever they are, 24:7. The solution, based on IoT sensors and machine learning, is already being used to monitor the health of 10 million bees across Europe, South Africa and North America, ahead of a commercial launch in 2019.
