I spend the majority of my time on calls engaging with my team or with our partners remotely, so having this software at our disposal means we can stay connected and engaged when we’re not having in-person meetings. Since utilising Zoom and Teams more and more, one peripheral that I have now come to enjoy using is my Hyper X external microphone – it’s been a gamechanger for longer webinar calls. 3 The collaboration between HP channel teams and our partners The strong ecosystem between the HP team and our partners is the cornerstone of our business, and since coming into the role I have been impressed with how we work together as one entity to deliver best in class experiences and to optimise business opportunities. Winning together comes down to effective collaboration and staying true to our business values (winning the right way) and our partners and HP teams understand this. Our collaboration and work together is indispensable to my role. 4 Microsoft OneNote OneNote is my go-to programme for me to flesh out my thoughts and ideas around our strategy and initiatives – you’ll likely catch me in meetings with OneNote open, typing away thoughts and questions, or typing up a brainwave. Having the chance to get my thoughts down instantly, but then being able to organise and categorise them when revisited, helps me stay organised. 1 My laptop I’m sure a laptop won’t be much of a surprise for many people, it’s a pivotal tool for most of us to do our roles. You’ll likely see me carrying around my Elite Dragonfly G2, whether I’m sitting in my home office or when I’m on the move to visit our partners or HP teams. Security is a priority for us, so when I’m on the go and commuting on a train and want to catch up on my emails in public confidently, I can feel safe with the benefit of HP Sure View Reflect, it’s a privacy screen that affords me privacy against visual hackers whilst in public. Being able to share your notes from conversations or meetings is another useful element – my wonderful executive assistant, Kirstie, can drop in and access the notes and organise any follow up calls, keeping us all super-efficient. 5 E-mountain bike I’m a true believer and advocate in making sure that myself and my team take time away from our desks, get fresh air and have thinking time in different locations, so we can take inspiration from the world around us. My personal go-to-activity is to take my e-mountain bike (Specialised Turbo Levo SL) around on routes across hills in the Cotswolds. Being outside is my time and gives me my all-important headspace. 6 Coffee Coffee throughout the day is a weakness and a must for me, I particularly like the independent baristas that we have seen come back to life in the recent weeks. As well on a summer’s evening out I won’t say no to a glass of rosé to celebrate the day with my team. www.hp.co.uk Greig Millar Neil MacDonald
