BULLETIN Swindon BC turns to Apogee Swindon Borough Council has partnered with Apogee to mobilise a time and cost saving hybrid mail solution. The partnership has enabled the council to save the equivalent of four months of staff time over the past 14 months. Apogee’s hybrid mail solution has provided employees with a smarter, more streamlined means of communication, reducing the costs associated with preparing and printing council documents and letters. Aurelio Maruggi, CEO of Apogee, said: “We are delighted to have helped Swindon Borough Council implement a company-wide hybrid mail solution, ensuring the Borough Council could focus more time and money on front line services for residents. At Apogee, we take pride in tailoring the services we deliver to ensure all our customers’ communication processes are smart, efficient, and cost-effective.” www.apogeecorp.com Agilico acquires INVU Agilico has acquired document management software provider, INVU. The investment represents a significant step in its mission to build a comprehensive and compelling set of workplace technologies. INVU adds 300 customers to the group and further deepens its expertise in delivering and developing software solutions. INVU’s product suite spans invoice processing, document management, workflow, purchase order automation and collaboration software. The deal complements Agilico’s expertise in document management and adds valuable and important capabilities to its portfolio. INVU also represents a highlyextensible digital foundation through which it can build and integrate new solutions. CEO Simon Davey said: “We are delighted to be expanding our portfolio of products to help make work easy for our customers who are increasingly turning to technology as they seek to remain agile and effective in today’s operating environment.” www.agilico.co.uk IT@Spectrum rebrands IT@Spectrum has rebranded as Spectrum to support its ambitious growth plans and mission to help companies thrive in the digital-first economy. The rebrand is a key element of Spectrum’s digital-led growth plans, with a target to more than double the size of the £10m turnover business over the next three years. The company plans to grow all facets of the business, including its print services and products. However, the trajectory of digital growth is forecast to be the steepest as customers embrace technology and adapt to the transformed, post-pandemic business environment. Spectrum has expanded its team to support its growth, employing 15 new members of staff over the past year, including a Head of Digital Solutions to drive forward its digital strategy. Spectrum is also hiring a further 12 young recruits to its successful Spectrum Campus training programme as it continues to invest in new talent. Managing Director Rob Cavill said: “This is an incredibly exciting time, with so many opportunities for us to grow the business. The rebrand is a key element of our strategy. We’ve used Spectrum as the shorthand for the business for many years anyway and the new brand removes any potential confusion as to what we are and what we do. We’re not an IT support business – that’s our sister company The One Point. We provide our customers with highlyefficient print and information management services and help them to maximise the benefits of digital technology and automation. Our new name also reflects that we offer customers the full spectrum of services to work smarter, reduce costs, improve business processes and productivity and, ultimately, be more profitable, through digital technology.” www.spectrum.tech BOSS award winners The BOSS Industry Awards took place on November 25 at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, a stunning venue steeped in history with Victorian architecture, in Manchester.
