01732 759725 50 AND FINALLY David Warrington, Client Services Director, Office Fox 60 seconds with… What’s currently having the greatest impact on your business? Within our MPS arm, definitely uncertainty. Clients are much more reticent to enter into longer-term agreements than they were pre-COVID. From a supply chain viewpoint, the current climate has had a big effect on organisations like mine that need a full UK and EU presence, we have to ensure we are partnered with businesses that can facilitate our clients’ needs. Where do you see the next big opportunity? Managed print services has always been very cyclical and this environment will keep that trend going. The centralisation of print and a move away from desk-based printing was a common theme. Now I am seeing a return to decentralisation – this is clearly an opportunity for those that can deliver effective A4 solutions. The next big opportunity on a general level will certainly be the new normal working environment. I am already gaining a lot of interest from clients needing Office Fox to help redesign their old office spaces to suit the demands of the new post-COVID workplace. What would make your day job easier? Transparency and more time – either of these would make the day job easier.. What’s the best bit of business advice you’ve been given? The harder you work the luckier you get. If you had had a crystal ball, would you have done anything differently? Plan earlier and bring in extra resource. We are comfortable but there is so much more to be done in all of the areas we support. Describe your most embarrassing moment. I was watching Tottenham play Arsenal once in a local pub and went to the toilet, as I came out Tottenham had scored and I ran to the front of the screen and cheered (loudly) in front of all the Arsenal fans. It turned out that it was actually a replay from an old game around five years ago... What was your first job? I worked on the local market setting up the stall and fixing watches. Fine dining and good wine, or curry and a pint? Fine dining and good wine always. Money’s not an issue, what’s your perfect car… and where would you like to drive it? Mercedes AMG G 63 SUV. Somewhere off road, Scotland perhaps. Favourite holiday destination? Barbados How do you like to spend your spare time? With my family and running. What would be your dream job? DJ. It’s got to be.
