The 300 and 400 series printers and MFPs provide full business-class capabilities in a smaller footprint. The devices include six new mono business-class printers and multifunction products, and two new colour MFPs for enterprise customers. Designed for small workgroups and small spaces, these new devices offer Lexmark partners and enterprise customers impressive productivity, with the capacity and durability for fewer interruptions. The 400 series colour printers are 30% smaller and 20% lighter than the predecessor; the MFP is 50% smaller and 25% lighter than the predecessor. Duplex printing and Wi-Fi are standard on all models, while duplex Automatic Document Feeder is standard on the MFP. All models have 2.8-inch (7.2 cm) touch screen with Cloud Connector apps included and Lexmark full-spectrum security features are standard on all devices. The new mono enterprise devices support output of up to 42/40 pages per minute, while an optional 550-sheet tray supports longer print runs. A 1-GHz multi-core processor powers through big jobs, and high-yield cartridges, optional input tray, plus the reliability of steel frames and long-life components mean less downtime. www.lexmark.co.uk Compact and cost-effective Epson has introduced its most affordable, smallest and portable large format printer in its range of T-series plotters. The new 24-inch SureColor SC-T2100 is designed for architects, engineers, teachers and designers. Its robust and lightweight design makes the printer ideal for working from home, small studios, classrooms or remote locations such as construction sites. The wireless printer can sit on a desktop or on its own stand and its space saving, smart, stackable design means it can be easily put away when not in use. Epson UltraChrome XD2 pigment inks deliver durable archival prints with brilliant colour and crisp lines on virtually any paper type for both indoor and outdoor usage. The unique auto-switching functionality enables the printer to swap between large format roll paper and A4/A3 cut sheet paper, without users having to touch the printer, ideal for small companies that have multipurpose print requirements in a limited workspace. Leveraging Epson’s PrecisionCore MicroTFP printhead technology, designed to last the lifetime of the machine, and Nozzle Verification Technology to automatically detect and adjust nozzle condition, the new printer offers swift print speeds producing accurate A1 size prints in 43 seconds, with precise detail and commercial-grade reliability. www.epson.co.uk Focus On: What’s New Free remote diagnostics tool Brother UK has launched free licenses for its remote diagnostics software to ensure reseller partners can provide maintenance support to their customers, without the need for engineer callouts. The Remote Panel tool, part of Brother’s software solutions range, is designed to enable resellers to remotely diagnose, troubleshoot and solve any issues that arise with a customer’s printing device. Partners can access and navigate the device’s control panel as they would in person to resolve settings or identify parts for replacement. Brother UK has made the tool available for free to help minimise printer downtime for essential workspaces and those working from home, while making sure reseller partners and customers can continue to comply with social distancing measures. All data shared from devices through the Remote Panel is directed through Brother’s highly secure communication channel to ensure customer and reseller IT systems remain safe and secure. www.brother.co.uk Thales selects Google Cloud Thales has deployed the world’s first GSMA-certified eSIM activation solution on Google Cloud.
