PRINT IT RESELLER.UK 33 WHAT'S NEW HP powers next-gen computing HP Inc. claims it is powering the next-gen of computing with the world’s first single-sourced remote workstation solution – ZCentral. The solution centralises high end computer power in a single location, liberating power-users who work on graphics-intensive applications, and enabling remote, mobile and fluid workstyles. ZCentral combines Z by HP racked high performance workstations, a new generation ZCentral Remote Boost software – formerly known as Remote Graphics Software (RGS) – and new proprietary ZCentral Connect software to accelerate high compute workflows to the next level. ZCentral equips IT departments with predictable and dedicated remote performance, independent of the endpoint device, and a simple way to manage those connections with ultimate data security. IT managers can manage, monitor, and assign dedicated remote workstation performance on a secure private network with one console. www.hp.com Long-life, high-performance MFP Kyocera’s TASKalfa 352ci comes with impressive features including a print speed of up to 35 A4 pages per minute. The on-premises software for remote and virtual desktop printing offers extensive enhancements for stable, high availability printing environments. This new version includes an early warning system for spooler problems that examines the speed of spool processes and redirects print jobs to other servers if a timeout occurs, proactively preventing printing outages. With ThinPrint 12, administrators have a central overview of spooler issues on desktop computers. Also, settings for high availability can be made via group policies. In addition, the ThinPrint Secure Tunnel used for the protected transfer of print data from remote and branch offices to head offices can now be operated in high availability mode. To ensure the failure of one server doesn’t have any negative effect on printing, all connections are dynamically distributed to the existing servers. This means that if one secure tunnel fails, another is automatically used. The ThinPrint license server is also now multi-client capable. Service providers can now use a single license server for all their tenants, as the user administration is separated, and each end customer can only see and manage their own user and domain structure. www.thinprint.com Antalis adds to sustainable products portfolio In response to increasing demand from customers looking for more sustainable alternatives to plastic-based products, Antalis has introduced Katz Display Board to its ever-growing sustainable product portfolio. Managed service providers using the RMM can now leverage the cloud-based web security solution’s web filtering and malware protection to better protect their customers’ end-users from web-borne threats. Offering robust content filtering, malware protection, granular policy enforcement and reporting, Barracuda Content Shield, a SaaS-based solution available at a per-user pricing model, works with existing antivirus solutions to protect against malicious files, stopping malware before it reaches the endpoint. This integration helps MSPs enhance their end-user online security service offering with agent-based DNS and URL filtering; help to protect their customers’ end-users from web-borne threats and get at-a-glance visibility into threats prevented across all customers. Additionally, through the combination of the two tools, MSPs will benefit from a centralised view of the threats detected and quarantined. www.barracudamsp.com Panasonic partnership Panasonic’s range of SIP communications devices have been certified for use with Exponential-e’s unified communications (UC) platform.
