Print IT Reseller - issue 140

PRINTIT AWARDS 23 PRINTITRESELLER.UK continued... Keep it relevant If you do decide to enter multiple award categories – please don’t include the same entry – every submission must be individual and tailored to the specific category. On the same note, you also can’t recycle last year’s entry – each category clearly states that the product, solution or business success story must have occurred in the 12 months preceding the awards deadline. Also make sure to keep the content relevant – matching your submission to the specific criteria is paramount. Double check your entry sticks to the criteria and addresses each of the points mentioned and that you’ve included any additional supporting information required to backup any claims. Back-up your claims Whether you’re highlighting revenue growth, customer satisfaction or market share, support your statements with facts, figures and credible testimonials. Don’t simply claim to be a market leader – prove it. The judges need to have the facts in front of them to be truly blown away by your achievements! Some categories require testimonials as part of the entry criteria, but even if it’s not mandatory, consider including a few words from customers, partners, or even your own employees. If they have something interesting and relevant to say, that can really add value to your entry. Don’t forget to proofread your entry Remember, the judges will be comparing your submission alongside entries from your peers, so make sure it isn’t riddled with typos or missing any required information. Stick to the word count, check spelling and grammar, and ensure your submission is clear and easy to read. Remember to use the official online form – supplemental information can be uploaded, but the entry itself must be submitted correctly. Finally, don’t be afraid to show your personality – if you can showcase your passion for your business, it can go a long way in helping you to make a good impression on the judges. Stick to the deadline We can’t stress this enough – make sure you get the entry in on time. The deadline is there for a reason; there’s a whole lot of work to be done after all the entries are in. To be fair to all the award entrants and to ensure our judges have enough time to review all the entries, we can’t give you an extension. The website will close promptly at 5pm on Friday July 17, and any entries made after that time will be excluded from the judging process. Don’t rely on AI We understand that AI tools can be helpful for brainstorming or structuring ideas, but entries that are clearly written largely or entirely by AI will be marked down. Judges want to see authenticity, insight and genuine expertise, qualities that come from your own experience, not automated text. If you must use AI, then do so only as a light support tool, judges do check for AI usage, so don’t risk losing out on valuable marks. Show what makes you different A strong entry doesn’t just list achievements – it explains why they matter. Highlight what sets your business, product or team apart. Demonstrate impact, innovation and value. The more clearly you articulate your unique strengths, the easier it is for judges to understand why you deserve to win. 4 5 6 7 8 9 www.printitawards.co.uk
