Replacing used ‘Unison’ toners with standard or high capacity options is just as easy. The front-loading system is one of the simplest we have seen; pull down, pull out and push in. It really is that simple. The printer itself has a metal under-frame, giving it the strength and durability to withstand frequent use by multiple users, as well as the longer, uninterrupted print runs made possible by a maximum paper capacity of 750 pages (with the addition of extra paper trays). The MC3426adw, the top of the range model in the Lexmark Go series, combines essential functionality – ADW stands for analogue fax, duplex and wireless – with rich, vibrant colour output and the exceptional performance demanded by busy workgroups. Print speeds of up to 26 pages per minute (ppm) and scan speeds of up to 96 images per minute (ipm) ensure a quick job turnaround, while optional high yield toner cartridges and additional paper trays keep the need for user interventions to a minimum. This is not the first Lexmark Go Line device we have reviewed, but it is definitely the most highly featured, as you would expect from a product designed to meet all the document processing needs of busy workgroups, from A4 colour printing/scanning to copying and even faxing. Faxing might be a throwback, but it is still used in sectors like healthcare and banking and its inclusion makes the MC3426adw a true all-in-one device. Other productivity-boosting features include: n a 7.2cm touch screen with a clear, simple menu that makes it easy for walk-up users to access functions; n a 1 GHz dual-core processor with 1 GB of memory for noticeably fast ‘first print out’ times; n wireless and wired connectivity (WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet, USB); n a choice of mobile printing apps – Lexmark Mobile Print, Google Cloud Print, Mopria and Airprint; and n easy connectivity to the cloud and cloud services, such as Dropbox, Google Drive and Onedrive, enabling users to pull documents from the cloud or save scans and prints to the cloud directly from the MFP itself.
