Slow and expensive? You must be joking
Inkjet printers are slow and expensive, right? Wrong, says Lexmark.
Its new Professional Series of inkjet all-in-ones come with high yield cartridges that have twice the capacity of standard cartridges and automatic double-sided (duplex) printing as standard for low running costs. And they’re fast - up to 33 pages per minute (ppm) mono and 28ppm colour - with a 5-year warranty for peace of mind.
The purchase price of £229.99 for the top of the range wireless-enabled X9575 is higher than most inkjets and some colour laser devices, but Steve Purdy, general manager of Lexmark UK, says that this will not worry the target market of professional users in home and small offices.
“We have listened to what customers are demanding and they are saying ‘I am prepared to pay a slightly higher price for my device, but I want a good cost per copy because I am going to be printing a lot,” he said.
