That suggestion box in your canteen or reception area could be an absolute goldmine according to Ideas UK, formerly known as UKASS (The United Kingdom Association of Suggestion Schemes).
A survey by the provider of bespoke suggestion schemes found that 74% of organisations now encourage contributions from employees and that 37% of all suggestions are implemented, on average generating £1,874 in savings or revenue for the business.
Last year alone employees of IdeasUK’s 150 members submitted more than 64,000 ideas which generated savings/revenue of more than £33 million. IdeasUK is a not-for-profit association with registered charity status. It helps members develop effective suggestion reward and recognition programmes.
