All day mobility We used our 4310 UC as a Bluetooth wireless device, but we could also have connected it to a computer via USB and used it in corded mode while it recharged. In fact, the battery was more than sufficient for all-day mobility: up to 24 hours in talk-time (18 hours with the indicator light showing colleagues you are on a call); up to 47 hours music-listening time; and up to 50 days in stand-by mode. Productive mobility is aided by the strong Bluetooth connection, with a wireless range of 50 metres and the ability to connect to two devices at the same time; and dual-mic Acoustic Fence technology which reduces background noise for audio clarity. The 4310 also features a mute button and a very useful Dynamic Mute alert, which lets you know if you are on mute when you start talking. Comfort and style Comfort is an important factor for all-day use or lengthy conference calls, and the 4310 UC’s design is not just stylish, with its matt black finish, but very light. You can wear the headset for long periods and hardly notice. Poly describes the Voyager 4300 UC Series as ‘the only headset you need at home or in the office’. This is probably true of the stereo 4320. As a mono device, the 4310 UC doesn’t quite make the grade. It is still an impressive headset for professional use in the office or at home, but not a true all-rounder.
