Due to be launched in Europe on September 1, it reduces the time needed to laminate documents by 98% compared to manual pouch loading and feeding. Just drop up to 30 documents in the tray and press run: the Foton 30 does all the feeding, de-skewing, laminating and trimming of standard size papers, delivering perfect positioning and borders every time, with no waste and no need for manual trimming. Key features include: n Pouch-free lamination n Auto-feeding of up to 30 sheets at a time n Auto-detection of film thickness n Unattended operation: drop documents in the tray, press run and walk away n Three modes of operation to support any paper thickness or shape n Automatic deskew for perfect positioning and borders n Sensor for a perfect cut every time n Simple cartridge loading with auto- threading n Safety auto shutoff A revolution in laminating Plastic-free covers Renz UK has responded to concerns about plastic waste by introducing plastic-free A4 Eco binding covers as an alternative to plastic acetate or polypropylene that can take more than 400 years to degrade. The covers look almost identical to a standard frosted plastic cover but are made from paper that is unbleached, totally chlorine free (TCF), 100% recyclable, compostable and biodegradable. New additions to tesafilm range Adhesive tapes manufacturer tesa has updated its flagship tesafilm range of transparent adhesive tape with new products and new packaging featuring a larger tesafilm logo, icons for the most important product features and a colour scheme to aid product selection. New products in the range include tesafilm Neon tape for labelling, marking and tabbing (illustrated); tesafilm dispenser bundles, including the compact, non-slip Orca dispenser, supplied with eight rolls of tape, and the Eco Smart dispenser, which comes in a space-saving size with two rolls of tape. Armed and comfortable BakkerElkhuizen has expanded its product offering with Premium Office Arms for single and dual monitors. Each arm features a gas spring that supports weights from 2-12kg, enables users to position the monitor at the correct height and allows a monitor to rotate 180 degrees. Smart cable management keeps the desktop free of unnecessary cables. The arms are made from sustainable materials and are 98% recyclable. They cost £183.95 for a Premium Office Single Monitor Arm and £330.95 for a Dual Monitor Arm. Staedtler widens triplus range Staedtler was recently awarded Business Superbrand status for a third year. It launched a slew of new products at the Stationery Show (see box), notably new additions to its popular triplus range of triangular writing instruments. These include the triplus permanent, a fineliner with waterproof ink available in ten colours; new colours and new widths for the triplus ballpoint range, including an F line width option, in red, green, black and blue; 12 new shades in the triplus fineliner range, bringing the total to 60; and three new trend sets, Llama (illustrated),Watermelon and Botanical. ACCO Brands was named 2019 Vendor of the Year at the 18th European Office Products Awards (EOPAs) organised by OPI (Office Products International). In making the award, judges considered a number of factors, including sales performance and market share gains; product innovation; diversification of product or service offering; supply chain performance; and brand strength. They particularly commended ACCO Brands for its ‘remarkable job’ in integrating Esselte and ACCO Brands in Europe.
