P2P Magazine | 05 www.p2pmag.co.uk BULLETIN Sustainable grass paper Zanders, a manufacturer of special papers and cartons for labels, packaging and graphic applications, has unveiled an uncoated ‘grass’ paper with a sun-dried virgin grass fibre content of between 20% and 40%. According to John Tucker, Sales Director at Zanders, the use of grass fibre in Zangrass significantly reduces its environmental impact. “In the process chain for the production of Zangrass, up to 75% of CO 2 emissions can be saved in comparison to pure fibre-based papers and the water consumption is lower. Furthermore, Zangrass is completely recyclable and compostable,” he said. Zangrass is currently available in weights of 120gsm and 150gsm and is mainly used as packaging for organic and natural products. Additional applications will develop as Zanders expands the range with lighter and heavier weights. www.zanders.com Extra special STABILO has launched a watercolour-based metallic version of its classic Pen 68 felt tip pen.
