LCD screen tells you
when to take a break
MMD’s new monitor is designed to
foster well-being in the workplace. As
well as being height-adjustable and
tiltable so that users can set it at the
right height and angle, the 24-inch
Philips ErgoSensor display interacts
with users. It detects the position and
angle of the sitter’s face and distance
from the screen and suggests how
their posture could be improved. It
also tracks how much time people
have spent in front of the screen and
reminds them to take a break. The

National award for SIP
Communicator
Spitfire has won a Comms Dealer
Comms National Award
in
the SME Hosted Solution category for an implementation of
SIP Communicator at Milbrook Medical Conferences.
The hosted telephony service only requires SIP compatible
handsets, making it a cost-effective solution for business start-
ups and growing businesses. Costs are estimated to be about
50% less than a conventional phone system, with billing based
on a tax-deductible monthly service charge.
Another benefit of the system is that users can access new
features as soon as they are added. Recent additions include call
management and call recording options and a new softphone
app that extends SIP Communicator to iOS and Android
smartphones, with standard deskphone features such as the
ability to transfer calls, make conference calls, access a central
directory and use short-number and extension dialling.
Keep in touch
Yealink has enhanced its T4 series of SIP phones with a new
