Network
scanning made easy
The Canon imageFORMULA ScanFront 330 is a
compact 60ipm network scanner with versatile file
sending options such as scan to network folders,
email, FTP, fax, print and USB memory and the ability
to scan to multiple destinations in one operation.
The scanner’s flat paper path allows it to be used to
scan cards and documents up to one metre-long and
A3 in size (using folio mode). A new feed roller and
ultrasonic double feed detection increase reliability
when scanning batches of mixed documents. A
web-based software development kit (SDK) allows
developers to create personalised capture apps.

3CX has introduced a professional
version of its VoIP PBX offering advanced
call centre functionality; number to
name conversion via Microsoft Exchange
integration; cross-office presence; and
superior call reporting.
3CX product manager Nick Borg said:
“With 3CX Phone System Pro, businesses
no longer need to spend a fortune on
delivering superior customer service.We
have integrated the 3CX Call Center module
into 3CX Phone System Pro and added even
more advanced call centre features relevant
to all businesses, not just call centres.
Through Exchange LDAP integration, 3CX
Phone System Pro allows businesses to
enhance their customer service even further
as employees will know who’s calling before
they pick up the phone.”
Another way in which the new edition
improves customer service is the ability
for customers to hang up and keep their
position in a queue. Businesses themselves
benefit from call monitoring and reporting,
which lets supervisors see the number of
unanswered calls and average and longest
wait times. Alerts warn managers if a
customer is waiting in a queue beyond the
SLA (Service Level Agreement). If desired,
real-time statistics can be displayed on a
wallboard.
