Touchscreen PC
Olivetti has added a 21in touchscreen
PC to its range of desktop and mobile
devices. The OLI-in1 combines a 21.5”
full-HD, 10 point multi-touch screen with
a third-generation Intel processor, 500 GB
hard drive and 4GB RAM, expandable to
8GB. It has 3 USB ports (one USB 3.0), a
3-in-1 card reader, DVD/CD drive and a 2
megapixel HD webcam. The computer can
be used in three different positions; flat
on a work surface or at a 10°or 20° angle.

inch tablet with 4K
resolution. Designed
with photographers,
marketers and sales
people in mind, it
has 3840 x 2560
pixels, 15:10 aspect ratio and 230 pixels per
inch, delivering a viewing experience four
times better than HD. This makes it perfect for
displaying large images, A3 drawings, brochures
and multimedia.

Computer Product Solutions, said: “There are a
wide range of applications for this exciting new
Toughpad 4K. Photography and design studios will
be able to see details and edit their images and
videos better than ever before; and luxury goods
marketers and sales people will be able to present
their products on a large screen tablet in such
amazing detail that it will make customers want to
reach out, touch and buy the products.”
To enable users to get the most from its
touchscreen capabilities, the tablet features a
Bluetooth-enabled Panasonic Electronic Touch
Pen that can be used for freehand writing and
sketching. Based on Anoto technology, the pen is
able to recognise every pixel on the screen, the
writing angle and 2048 levels of pressure.
The £3,335 (ex VAT) Toughpad 4K UT-MB5
comes pre-installed withWindows 8.1 Pro and
can be used as both a tablet and desktop PC by
connecting the desktop cradle accessory.
Panasonic plans to launch a specialist
performance model for 3D modelling and CAD
applications in the first half of 2014.

service with download speeds of
up to 20 Mbit per second. Aimed at
areas in England andWales where
ADSL broadband is non-existent
or slow, the service uses the SES
Broadband Services platform and
is available in a range of packages
priced from £13 per month.

IGEL has extended its Universal
Desktop range with an all-in-one
thin client designed for healthcare
and financial customers with limited
deskspace; retail Point of Sale; and
digital signage and kiosk terminals in
public institutions and libraries.
Featuring a 24in widescreen LED
backlight display and 1 GHz dual-core
processor, the IGEL UD10 is designed to
provide the high performance needed
for virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI),
multimedia and web applications.
For flexibility, the display can be
rotated 90 degrees and features an
integrated smartcard reader for secure
two-factor authentication solutions and
hot desking arrangements.
It can be enhanced with
optional extras including an infrared
touchscreen,WLAN support and an
additional monitor connected via the
