Two lines, one SIM

Meeting growing demand amongst mobile phone users for a second line capability, Movius Interactive Corporation has introduced a new version of its Side-Line Service, enabling operators to offer multiple lines on a single device without the need for an additional SIM.

A recent survey by Frost & Sullivan in the US found that nearly a third of mobile phone users were interested in a second line capability. This fgure rose to more than 60% for those that already owned two devices.

Movius President and CEO Dominic Gomez said: “There is a really strong momentum building from people who not only want to carry just a single device with them but want to be able to control different facets of their lives – for example keeping business and home life apart.

“Our application provides the most complete second line service including the ability to have separate billing and voicemail for each number as well as supporting both voice and SMS communications. All of which can be deployed on any mobile device.” Having multiple lines on a mobile phone makes it possible for business users to separate business and personal calls expenses or differentiate calls for particular businesses or customers
