24 01732 759725 What have been your business highlights of the last 12 months? Since joining OneAvanced in April, my biggest highlight has been driving and launching our Trust Centre – a centralised hub that gives stakeholders access to key information about OneAdvanced’s security, compliance and privacy practices, enhancing transparency and building trust. What is currently having the greatest impact on your business? As it will be for many organisations, it has to be AI! Here at OneAdvanced we have built a responsible AI working group to ensure we are driving our AI product portfolio with responsible and ethical AI. Building AI capabilities into our products can quite literally change people’s lives! Integrating it into our healthcare products, for example, can boost the patient experience and improve access to healthcare, while our own AI solution enables businesses to integrate AI alongside a clear governance framework. This helps them to navigate this transformative phase and avoid the pitfalls of Shadow AI (unauthorised use of artificial intelligence tools), ensuring they are well placed to embrace the exciting opportunities that lie ahead. What recent business win are you most proud of? OneAdvanced recently acquired INPS, gaining access to the Vision Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system used by GP practices across the UK. The addition of INPS Vision complements our existing healthcare portfolio and strengthens our commitment and ability to shape the future of UK healthcare. Together, we’re supporting the NHS’ 10-year plan and driving innovation in patient care. That really is a career milestone! Where do you see the next big opportunity for the IT channel? Embedding cyber security into business value creation. Cyber security has often been used to keep an organisation safe and meet regulatory requirements. However, AI-driven threat detection, secure by design product development and strong cyber security cultures have the potential not just to reduce risk but also to build customer trust, aid differentiation and enable faster, safer digital transformation. Did you get into IT by accident or design? I was always fascinated by technology and the internet – I took IT as a GCSE subject. However, I wanted a career in military service! As the landscape of warfare is now digital, I naturally fell into IT/Cyber that way. If you could swap your current job for any other what would it be? I honestly wouldn’t want to swap it for anything. I feel Business Information Security Officer is one of the most important and exciting roles. That said, the lure of a small holding or farm could tempt me… Which business leader do you most admire and why? Satya Nadella, like many others no doubt. I love the way he has prioritised empathy, trust and innovation whilst simultaneously embedding security and resilience. His leadership style is one I admire and follow, proof that aligning technology, cybersecurity and business growth can create lasting value and impact. What’s the best bit of business advice you’ve been given? To remember that not every success happens at work. Protect your integrity, energy and set boundaries. Also, remember to stay adaptable and align decisions with long-term value, not quick wins! What advice would you give a young person considering a career in IT? The same advice I’d give anyone, regardless of their age: find a community. There is so much value in peer-to-peer learning and engagement. It’s a tough world, especially if you’re just starting out, so finding people you can learn from is invaluable! What’s on your playlist at the moment? Coldplay! I’m very lucky to be seeing them at the end of August. Oh, and KPop Demon Hunters, courtesy of my 4-year old! What’s the most used app on your phone and why? Instagram. I love seeing updates from family on the other side of the world and from friends of mine who have moved to other countries. And I’m always interested in what the otters in Devon’s otter rescue centre are up to… How do you like to spend your spare time? I live in the beautiful South Downs, so out walking with my dog and family. When I’m not doing that, you can find me in the Pilates studio. Favourite holiday destination? I’m very lucky to have travelled widely. And my favourite country is….Scotland. For its scenery and deep history. And the Highland coos. www.oneadvanced.com INTERVIEW Holly Foxcroft, recently appointed Cybersecurity Business Partner at OneAdvanced, with responsibility for building a resilient, inclusive security culture at the digital transformation solutions provider and integrating cutting-edge technologies with industry best practice.
