Murphy replaces Daryl Pile who is taking up the position of CEO of SCG (Southern Communications Group). Ben Merrills promoted to Jola CTO Following the appointment of Adrian Sunderland as CEO, Jola, a wholesale supplier of business communications specialising in mobile data SIMs, has promoted Ben Merrills to Chief Technical Officer. Jola’s Head of IP Telephony and Development since 2022, Merrills was previously Managing Director of Zapappi, which Jola acquired the same year. Sunderland said: “I have worked closely with Ben for many years and am confident in his ability to develop and deliver differentiated solutions creating profitable, recurring revenue streams for our partners.” .... New CEO for Six Degrees Six Degrees, the integrated cloud services provider backed by private equity house Charlesbank, has appointed Vince DeLuca People Chief Executive Officer (CEO). DeLuca has held a series of CEO and senior leadership roles within the technology sector at companies such as Logicalis Group, Infocrossing, Marconi and, most recently, digital operating transformation provider Sapphire Systems, where he was CEO for three-and-a-half years. Illumio appoints Pete Wilson as EMEA channel chief Zero Trust Segmentation company Illumio has appointed Pete Wilson Director of Channel Sales, EMEA. Based in the UK, Wilson will lead Illumio’s channel and alliance operations in EMEA as it seeks to capitalise on growing demand for Zero Trust and Microsegmentation. Before joining Illumio, Wilson worked at Okta, where as Director of EMEA partnerships he led the growth of the Global Systems Integrators (GSI) community in Europe, and at Auth0 where he built the EMEA partner channel from the ground up. Commenting on his appointment, Wilson said: “It’s an exciting time to join Illumio. The Microsegmentation market is poised to explode, and Illumio is a clear leader in the field. Abzorb Head of Channel retires Mark Riddell is stepping down from his position as Head of Channel at Abzorb, after 15 years with the provider of flexible mobile, connectivity and communication software solutions. In that time, Riddell grew Abzorb’s channel from 23 to over 200 partners and successfully transitioned from an upfront commission to revenue share model. Managing Director Steve Beeby said: “Mark was known for his exceptional sales and networking skills and his ability to effortlessly connect with all people. Skendrovic, who joined VeUP in January as General Manager for EMEA, was previously CEO of Logicalis and EVP Chris Woodhouse succeeds Sir Bill Thomas as Node4 Chairman After seven years in the role, Sir Bill Thomas has stepped down as Chairman of Node4, while retaining his place on the Board.
