01732 759725 20 NEWS : RESELLERS EBM Managed Services, based in Witham, has updated and simplified its IT services offering to make it easier for SME customers to find the support they need. Non-Executive Director Richard Tytherleigh said: “We spoke with existing customers, and we scoped out the range of IT services available to SMEs. Then we went back to the drawing board and re-wrote our own offering with a focus on keeping things simple and prioritising the business needs of our customers.” EBM has now relaunched its offering with a focus on the four main areas of business IT: hardware & software; networks & infrastructure; an outsourced help desk; and security & disaster recovery. Founder Mick Bailey said: “We’re already working with a select group of clients who were excited about the premise of simple, efficient IT services, and we look forward to supporting many more in the future.” EBM relaunches simplified IT services portfolio Jersey Post Digital rebrands as Vaiie Jersey Post’s digital division, Jersey Post Digital, has rebranded as Vaiie, a name it first used in April 2019 in a joint venture with Guernsey-based communications and digital agency TPA. Jersey Post Digital, which had been formed in 2018 to integrate Jersey Post’s digital communication channels and traditional distribution techniques, established the joint venture to market its solutions ‘off-island’ to clients in Guernsey and other Channel Islands. These included three core services: RegTech, offering a range of solutions to help regulated industries, such as financial services, meet jurisdictional requirements; Communication, enabling clients to outsource the production and distribution of high volume communications; and Enterprise Portals, for automating the workflow of documents, from requests for data to digital review, approval and signing. Earlier this year, Jersey Post decided to build on the success of the Vaiie name in Guernsey by extending the brand to Jersey Post Digital, giving it a single proposition to take to customers across the Channel Islands and further afield, in line with its growth plans. Tim Brown, Chief Executive of Jersey Post, said: “The introduction of Vaiie into the Guernsey market has been very successful. We have established ourselves as the largest data handler in the Channel Islands, and the Vaiie brand itself received fantastic feedback. This enabled our global growth ambitions, and the next step in our digital strategy was to roll out this brand in Jersey where we will continue to improve our Channel Island offering, while also scaling this to meet the needs of other off-island jurisdictions.” Coinciding with the rebrand, Vaiie has launched a new website and introduced two new RegTech services: n Vaiie Client Onboarding, which provides custom-branded digital workflows to request, collate and validate specific information required from each client during the onboarding process; and n Vaiie Address Assurance, which provides businesses with a simple, custom-branded portal for client verification that can be built into Vaiie Client Onboarding or used as a standalone solution. Lee Bosio, Managing Director at Vaiie, said: “Governance, Risk and Compliance represent some of the highest costs for financial services today, and we have worked hard to provide solutions that support each of these areas. Not only do our services reduce high costs, centralise and overcome the burden of disjointed systems, they also provide a seamless experience for both organisation and client. It’s an exciting time for digital services, and I’m delighted to be bringing this brand, its expertise and solutions to Jersey.” https://vaiie.com Chris Brooks Room to grow Newport-based telecommunications firm Advanced Satellite Solutions has laid the ground for further expansion after outgrowing its temporary shared offices and relocating to larger premises in the town. With the help of a £51,720 funding package from Lombard Asset Finance, the family-run business has installed six modular buildings on a 1.5-acre site at Westway Road Alexandra Docks that also includes a 2,000 sq ft warehouse for bulk- bought materials. Advanced Satellite Solutions, founded by Nolan Orford in 1998, specialises in the installation and repair of fibre optic & network cabling, satellite TV solutions, CCTV and digital signage. It exceeded £2 million in turnover in its last financial year and is targeting 50% growth to £3 million by the end of 2021. Since relocating to its new premises, Advanced Satellite Solutions has recruited two additional employees, increasing its headcount to 12 full time staff and 19 permanent contractors. Symatrix prioritises managed services HCM and ERP solutions provider Symatrix is planning to increase its headcount by 25% over the next two years to support growing demand for its managed services from enterprise organisations that are struggling to manage their cloud ecosystem and applications. The investment builds on the company’s 20-year experience as a provider of Human Capital Management (HCM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementations, both on-premise and in the cloud, by clearly positioning managed services as its primary offering and by enabling Symatrix to optimise HCM and ERP implementations delivered by itself or a third party. The company’s existing managed services offering includes Oracle HCM and ERP managed services, both on-premise and in the cloud; the Oracle E-Business suite; and a suite of Outsourced Payroll Services using these applications. Symatrix also provides a business process outsourcing (BPO) managed payroll service on both the Oracle and Salesforce Cloud platforms, which it plans to develop with new financial well-being features, such as automation of self- assessment returns or the ability for employees to access pay on completion of worked hours. CEO Chris Brooks said: “As Symatrix prepares to celebrate its 20th birthday in 2020, we are focused on meeting the needs of a rapidly changing marketplace and we feel our drive behind managed services positions us strongly to achieve that.”
