01732 759725 08 NEWS : RESELLERS Ian Davidson Julian Box ERP and IT solutions provider Frontline Consultancy has been awarded Gold Partner Status by Codeless Platforms in recognition of the two companies’ 10- year relationship. The specialist in SAP Business One, Sage X3 and business intelligence for SME customers uses the Codeless Systems BPA Platform for backend processes (e.g. integration with other systems and services), as well as business process automation (e.g. the transfer of data between systems and workflow approvals), often in combination with B1UP from Boyum IT, which it uses for user interface processes. Tony Hilton, ERP Services Director at Frontline Consultancy, said: “We’ve got first-class knowledge of BPA Platform; there is nothing we can’t do with it. We understand exactly how it works and exactly how we should deploy it. Having a tool like BPA Platform really lets us get deep down and dirty into business requirements. We are, quite genuinely, able to answer yes to nearly all that our customers request.” He added: “BPA Platform enables us to automate processes around and within SAP Business One in a much more commercially viable way. We can build something in ten days, that would probably take 30 days, or even 50 days, in C#. We effectively start a project with a massive head start and the speed to market and competitive price is a huge commercial benefit to us.” www.frontline-consultancy.com www.codelessplatforms.com Head start wins gold for Frontline Consultancy VIA acquired by Wavenet Wavenet Group, the Beech Tree Private Equity-backed supplier of telecoms and technology solutions, has strengthened its Office 365 and Microsoft Teams offering with the acquisition of VIA (Smart Hosted Solutions Limited). VIA, which was established in 2012, becoming the UK’s largest hosted Skype for Business provider in 2016, provides a fully managed telephony solution for Microsoft Teams through its custom-built management portal. The acquisition of VIA will enable Wavenet to expand the UC and Teams services it offers, while extending its geographic reach and strengthening its management team. Alex Tebbs, Co-founder & Sales Director of VIA, said integration of the two companies’ platforms would enable reseller and end user customers to get more out of Microsoft Teams by leveraging the connectivity and cloud-based communication services offered by Wavenet. He said: “Since starting VIA in 2012, the business has been through several years of Microsoft UC evolution, from Lync to Skype for Business and now Teams. The acquisition by Wavenet is the next stage in this journey. VIA’s unique management portal and service will be made even better through integration with Wavenet’s Networking, Security and Technology services.” Formed in 2000, Wavenet is the UK’s longest serving BroadSoft (now Cisco) Unified Communications partner and a Cisco Cloud and Managed Services Certified Partner. It provides data, voice, security and technology services to more than 8,000 SME and enterprise customers. Calligo extends reach with Irish acquisition Global data optimisation and privacy specialist Calligo has expanded its presence in Europe with the acquisition of DC Networks Ltd, a Dublin-based managed services provider specialising in IT support, telecommunications, networking and managed Microsoft Azure services. In the last three years, Calligo has made three acquisitions in Canada, one in Guernsey, one in Luxembourg and now one in Ireland, turning itself into a multi- jurisdictional provider of IT services, with data centres in the UK, Jersey, Guernsey, Canada, Singapore and Luxembourg. Its services portfolio covers public & hybrid cloud, IT managed services and data analytics & artificial intelligence, all supported by ‘privacy-first’ data management consultancy and assistance with national, international and industry- specific data protection obligations. Julian Box, Founder and CEO of Calligo, said: “Ireland was clearly the logical next step for Calligo’s international expansion. Adding a presence here, alongside our established locations in the UK and Europe, bolsters our ability to provide local, European and international businesses with a full suite of data-centric managed services that satisfy all requirements in data residency, data privacy and data ethics.” https://calligo.cloud/ Biggest acquisition yet for leading mailroom independent The UK’s leading independent supplier of mailroom technology, The Mailing Room (TMR) of Bury, Greater Manchester, has expanded its user base by 40% with the acquisition of Dunstable-based Digital Post Solutions (DPS). The largest corporate acquisition in TMR’s 21-year history increases its customer base to 7,500 accounts, strengthens its presence within the Home Counties and M25 corridor and gives it more in-depth knowledge of automated folder-inserter systems. To help with the integration of the two companies, DPS co-founder Mark Steele will be joining TMR along with fellow director James Johnson, Operations Manager Peter Thompson and Account Manager David Smith. Co-founder Terry Smart is to retire. TMR provides public, private and voluntary sector organisations with a portfolio of mailroom supplies and services, including an online sales operation (for consumables, spares and accessories), nationwide equipment installation, licensed inspection, servicing and repair. TMR Group MD Ian Davidson said: “Although digital substitution of letters and cards has impacted the domestic postal market, the business sector is holding up well. Mail is seen as a medium of authority in the business world, for circulating invoices, membership drives, electoral notices, confidential healthcare information and the like, while commercial emails have been hampered by GDPR and the need to obtain consent.” He added: “Today’s mailroom technology, including the latest all-in-one solutions, has a lot to offer busy organisations and we can install the latest equipment, keep it operating smoothly and supply the essential inks, labels and spares.” The TMR product range includes Mailmark-enabled franking machines from Pitney Bowes and Quadient (the new name for Neopost); folder-inserters; and automated parcel shipping solutions that take the guesswork out of parcel and package shipping, with access to the best possible delivery rates. 0800 019 2033
