01732 759725 NEWS : RESELLERS 24 Systems integrator and managed service provider Britannic Technologies has become an authorised EMEA partner of Enghouse Interactive. As such, it will sell, market and deploy a range of Enghouse products, including its flagship Enghouse Interactive Communications Centre to customers who have Microsoft Skype for Business. Jonathan Sharp, Britannic Technologies Sales and Marketing Director, said: “We were looking for a partner that had a strong relationship with Microsoft and understood their evolving unified communications product roadmap. Enghouse Interactive fits the bill in that respect. They have extensive experience in deploying contact centres in a Skype for Business environment and have already made positive moves in connecting with Microsoft Teams.” He added: “As a systems integrator and long standing call centre solution provider working with leading UC and contact centre vendors, it was clear that we had a gap in our call centre offerings around Microsoft Skype for Business. The Enghouse and Britannic proposition enables us to offer a leading solution, combined with our innovative digital offerings, system integration capabilities, cloud architecture and customer-focused service.” The partnership enables customers to leverage Britannic’s complementary service offerings, such as software and applications development, CTI integration, process automation & Skype for Business digitisation, conversational AI capabilities and the ability to integrate social media streams directly into the contact centre. Looking ahead, Britannic plans to deliver EICC within their next generation cloud hosting environment, which will enable Britannic to offer an enterprise- grade private cloud solution to customers and prospects with Microsoft Skype for Business. www.btinet www.enghouseinteractive.com Britannic Technologies fills gap with Enghouse Interactive solutions Altodigital becomes one of the few with new security accreditation The largest independent supplier of office technology in the UK can offer customers the highest levels of protection against cyber threats, after gaining the UKAS-approved global standard for security and safety ISO 27001. Altodigital, which has 12 sites across the country, has spent 18 months working on the accreditation. It is one of just a handful of dealers to hold the ISO rating. Martin Chamberlain, Altodigital Senior Information Risk Owner and Management Information Systems Director, said: “The ISO accreditation means we have robust business continuity processes in place to ensure that assets are protected from destructive events and control measures are in place to ensure the loss of critical assets can be recovered in a controlled and safe manner.” He added: “It is more than just a certificate or a badge. This is really about going to the depths of our business and making sure we are credible. We have looked at all of our vulnerabilities and we have fixed them.” No Limits success Commercial Foundation’s first No Limits programme of the year has been a resounding success, with 80% of the young people who attended managing to secure employment or further education by the time they had completed the eight-week programme. Founder Simone Hindmarch said: “Since our inception in 2015, our mission has been to change the lives of young people who have struggled with barriers to employment. Many of them come from troubled backgrounds, and most find social or professional situations challenging. With our new, practical format and our expert job coaches, we are able to guide young people with different levels of learning difficulties.” She added: “The target we originally set ourselves was to support 30 young people a year. Now, with the recent improvements, we have been able to reduce the course time to eight weeks, increase the number of interns from six to 12, and help those young people to secure positions even before they complete the programme, which is extraordinary.” In addition to the No Limits training programme, Commercial Foundation provides volunteer work experience at Commercial Foundation’s We Do. Ruckus’ range of 802.11ax (now known as Wi-Fi 6) access points came to market earlier this year, and Glide will be including these capabilities as soon as possible. Meri Braziel, Chief Operating Officer at Glide, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Ruckus to expand our ever growing student customer base. We are passionate about creating a great customer experience with our super-fast Wi-Fi and smart-enabled buildings and are determined to drive down the cost of running these residences, future-proof the asset and provide an enhanced experience for the student.” www.arris.com • www.glidebusiness.co.uk Midshire charity auction Staff at managed print service provider Midshire have raised almost £3,000 for the neonatal units at New Cross Hospital and Russells Hall Hospital, both of which have given support to Midshire employee Chris Astley’s new-born son, James. The money was raised by auctioning a football signed by the West Brom team at a retirement party at West Bromwich Albion F.C’s Hawthorns stadium in March. Further fund-raising activities for the hospitals are planned, including a raffle draw and a five-a-side football tournament. www.midshire.co.uk
