Accompanying software provides live on-screen guidance, for example on how to adjust a microphone boom-arm if it’s not placed in an ideal position (Jabra Direct), and data-driven decision- making based on detailed analytics (Jabra Express). Analysis of background noise levels could show when they exceed thresholds and enable businesses to take remedial action. www.jabra.co.uk Going mobile Cortado Mobile Solutions has integrated the on-premise file sharing solution Cortado Workplace with smartphones and tablets, giving mobile workers secure access to the same drives and files on their mobile devices as on their desktop workstation. It also gives them the ability to save data while on the move, directly from their mobile devices to the corporate server. Cortado Workplace can be implemented as a stand-alone solution or in combination with MDM/EMM systems such as MobileIron, AirWatch (VMware Workspace ONE) or Citrix XenMobile. Set-up is instant using existing access rights from Microsoft Active Directory. www.cortado.com/ workplace/ More performance Microsoft has expanded its Surface portfolio of hardware devices with four new products: the Surface Pro 6 (67% faster than its predecessor); the Surface Laptop 2 (85% faster than the original Surface Laptop); Surface Studio 2 (50% faster than its predecessor); and Surface Headphones, featuring adjustable active noise cancellation and on-ear touch controls. www.microsoft.com/en-gb/ Cover up The HP Tango X is a compact all-in-one home printer with a stylish cover that also serves as a paper landing zone. Upside Energy’s cloud-based Flexibility Platform remotely monitors Vertiv customers that opt in and uses their UPS battery storage as a distributed energy resource without impacting the UPS’s primary function as a source of emergency backup power. www.VertivCo.com/EnergyStorage Growing up The second generation of NEC InfinityBoard collaboration displays is available in a choice of four sizes (55, 65, 75 and 86 inches) to suit different meeting rooms and applications. Winner of the 2018 Dstl Innovator of the Year award, the game has been shown to speed up players’ understanding of attack techniques and defensive strategies. Dstl is offering the cyber card game on a non-exclusive basis through its Easy Access IP (EAIP) licensing framework, which enables companies to develop Dstl IP at no cost. It has already signed a licensing agreement with Coruscant Productions LLC, which plans to develop the cyber card game further and market it to cyber training providers across the world. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/easy- access-intellectual-property Out of the shadows Panasonic ShadowSense enables retailers, museums and corporations to create interactive touchscreen video walls of any size using 55-inch panels as building blocks.
