The Preference Centre is a secure, cloud-based application that facilitates enterprise- wide collation and management of consumer preferences across multiple channels and brands, integrating easily with existing in-house and third-party systems. The system has been designed from the ground up to give consumers direct access to their preferences. The Preference Centre is built to work alongside an organisation’s existing email marketing platforms and CRM systems and has the ability to push and pull preference data into other application platforms. www.syrenis.com/ThePreferenceCentre • www.dqmgrc.com Tech Data extends smart home portfolio Tech Data has extended its portfolio of smart home products with BeON Home Smart security lighting and Naran’s MicroBot Push device. BeON light bulbs contain a Smart Module that records and analyses lighting habits and creates a convincing seven-day lighting schedule that can be replayed when home-owners are away, deterring would-be burglars. The bulbs can also respond to a doorbell with a believable lighting pattern and to a smoke alarm being triggered by turning lights on to provide a visible exit from the property. The bulbs store energy so will work for up to five hours when power is lost. The Naran MicroBot is a tiny wireless robot that physically presses buttons and switches. Controlled through an app, it can be used to turn home appliances on or off at any time and from anywhere. www.techdata.co.uk Nimans gets a pizza the sales action with DrayTek Nimans celebrated a DrayTek sales boom and the arrival of a new connectivity solution with pizza at its Manchester headquarters. The pizza was DrayTek’s way of saying thank you for record monthly sales figures and raised awareness of its enhanced ACS2 network management product. DrayTek Sales and Marketing Manager Julian Hubble said: “The education, retail and health markets have been very strong for DrayTek, with IT Managers implementing the reliable and secure connectivity infrastructure we supply. This has been a major factor in accelerating sales, along with the high level of support from Nimans.” www.nimans.net No more bill shock Delivered in BT Wholesale’s data centre, the latest version of Tollring’s cloud- based Credit and Fraud Management System (CFMS) monitors call trends, implements rules and triggers alerts to protect resellers and their customers from illegal usage and ‘bill shock’. The solution includes a credit management element that enables resellers to constrain legitimate spend and manage ‘risky’ customers. Simon Orme, Director of Hosted Communications at BT Wholesale, said: “By widening access to Tollring’s intelligence and analytics tools across our whole portfolio, our resellers have the opportunity to take control and differentiate their offering. Resellers can work with their customers to set spend limits at site level, ‘white list’ customers to avoid auto-barring and change thresholds on fraud rules. Monitoring alerts and notifications directly will enable resellers to react faster in the event of fraud and be proactive in communicating with customers.” www.tollring.com Nimans secures direct EE relationship Nimans has strengthened its mobile proposition by forging a direct working relationship with EE. Mark Curtis-Wood, Nimans Head of Network Services, said: “For many years we have developed a very successful alliance with BT, and with EE and BT joining forces to bring seamless connectivity a step closer, we felt it was important that our resellers had access to the EE network. “We will be launching EE initially on our Simplified 30-day tariffs, with a choice of 24-month contracts also available at the end of the month. 4G mobile data is key to the strength of the EE offering, and we will be offering flexible tariffs and stackable data giving resellers even more choice.” www.nimans.net
