Every sheet of Woodland Trust Office
Paper sold directly supports The
Woodland Trust, the UK’s leading
woodland conservation charity, which
owns or manages more than 1,000
woodlands throughout the UK.
All CO2e generated from the
production, storage and distribution
of the paper has been offset through
the Trust’s Woodland Carbon Scheme,
which captures carbon by planting
sustainably managed woodland
that provides a rich, bio-diverse
environment for wildlife and green,
open spaces for the public to enjoy,
with free, year-round access.
The carbon capture scheme
operates under the Government’s
Woodland Carbon Code, a voluntary
standard for woodland creation
projects in the UK, with independent
certification providing validation of
their carbon benefits.
It is calculated that 25m
2
of native
UK woodland will capture and store
one tonne of CO2 and that creating
large areas of new native woodland,
will, over time, remove hundreds of
thousands of tonnes of carbon dioxide
from the atmosphere.
