BULLETIN Nuance enhances RPA enabler Nuance has introduced a new version of its high volume document conversion and classification solution OmniPage Server 2. Providing the functionality essential for robotic process automation (RPA), OmniPage Server 2 converts PDFs and other popular file types into machine-readable formats, enabling organisations to streamline document-based business processes and accurately deliver information to an unlimited number of folders and subfolders. Folder watching capabilities can detect PDF and image files and automatically designate them for conversion, bringing greater efficiencies to the document conversion workflow. Key features of the new version include an advanced analytics capability through integration with Nuance’s document classifier API; the option of cloud deployment through Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure; a new user interface; and simplified installation that enables organisations without networking or server configuration expertise to install the solution on a single machine and begin executing high-volume document conversion processes almost immediately. Other enhancements include faster, more accurate OCR; support for right-to-left languages, such as Arabic and Hebrew; and enhanced Intelligent Workflow Runner, which, when combined with the Workflow Designer, can be used to create more complex workflows. www.nuance.com Neopost moves with the times After 90 years in Romford, Essex, communications solutions provider Neopost is moving its UK head office to the Here East technology campus in Queen Elizabeth Country Park, Stratford. Over 200 suppliers are already on the online ‘Purchase to Pay’ system, which allows managers to place, view and authorise purchase orders instantly from any location. Supplier invoices are matched to POs and, when approved, relevant data is extracted and sent to the club’s accounting system and value-based workflows. www.cloudb2bsolutions.co.uk One in three SMEs without CRM One in three UK SMEs with revenues of between £5 million and £250 million still doesn’t have any CRM technology in place and continues to rely on spreadsheets, claims CRM company Workbooks.
