True to the business inkjet ethos, the WF-C5000 series of two printers and two MFPs has a 50% lower cost per colour page than comparable laser devices; uses 90% less energy; and requires less maintenance, thanks to high yield cartridges of 5,000 (colour) and 10,000 (mono) pages. In addition, the new printers have the largest paper capacity in their class (up to 830 sheets) and a first page out time of less than 7 seconds from sleep mode. Peter Silcock, business manager for Business Imaging at Epson UK, said: “This small workgroup series of printers and multifunction devices is perfect for small businesses and outlets that may have traditionally used lasers and want to cut costs, increase productivity and reduce downtime, while reducing their environmental impact and improving their CSR reputation.” The printers come with a range of productivity and security tools, including Email Print for Enterprise, Epson Print Admin5, Document Capture Pro and Epson Device Admin. They can be acquired transactionally or through an Epson Print365 managed print service for as little as £35 a month for the top of the range WF-C5790DWF MFP.
