Print.IT Reseller - issue 89

PRINTIT RESELLER AND TECHNOLOGY RESELLER GOLF SOCIETY 51 PRINTITRESELLER.UK 26 After a delayed start due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Print IT and Technology Reseller Golf Society succeeded in holding three memorable golfing days over the summer/late summer, culminating at the Warwickshire on October 14. Sponsored by Ingram Micro – a big thank you to Kerrie Spalding for her support – the final round had more than usual significance, as, in addition to prizes for Winner on the Day, Team Winners, Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive, players’ scores counted towards the competition for Overall Golfer of the Year. To add some extra fun to the day, we also invited players to Beat the Pro. All that was required was a little luck and a £5 donation to Harry’s Rainbow, a fantastic charity that helps bereaved children with the support they need today to ensure they have a brighter tomorrow. Winners The Earls course was in excellent condition and, while some of us found it more testing than others, a great day was had by all – none more so than the day’s winners. These were: Adam Hart, Longest Drive; Peter Oosthuizen, Nearest the Pin; and James Hosking, Winner on the Day, with 39 points. James also won the prize for Overall Golfer of the Year. Many congratulations to James, Adam and Peter, to all the winners at our previous events at Manor House and Forest Pines and to the 15 people who managed to Beat the Pro. Thanks to the contributions of everyone who took part in that challenge and to the generosity of drinks buggy sponsor MyPhones, which made a donation of £2 for every drink sold, we managed to raise a total of £575 for Harry’s Rainbow. All that’s left for me to say is a big ‘Thank You’ to everyone who has supported the Print IT and Technology Reseller Golf Society this year. We look forward to seeing you all again in 2022.
