It won’t be a surprise to hear it’s pandemic related. For us, it’s the changes our customers are experiencing in their ways of working. We’re making sure we’re optimised to help them where we can. Where do you see the next big opportunity? We're experiencing it today with the move to cloud print management. For our ecosystem, I'm thrilled by the shift towards relationship selling over transactional selling. I choose happy people over healthy profits every day of the week. What would make your day job easier? It would have something to do with cloning I’m sure. One clone for meetings, one for running the business, and one for doing the work! What’s the best bit of business advice you’ve been given? If you love your job, you don’t have to work a day in your life. I believe that and I live it every day. What was your first job? Washing dishes in a Mexican restaurant for three years during university. I didn’t choose that job particularly well, because the food was cooked directly on the plate and the baked-in cheese was a nightmare to clean! What would be your dream job? What I do today. If it’s not the job I’m enjoying, I’d get up and change it. But I haven’t had to yet! Fine dining and good wine, or curry and a pint? Definitely the curry and pint, preferably a pale ale thank you for offering. How do you like to spend your spare time? Well, I love sailing and spending time with my kids. So getting the kids on the boat is pretty much perfect for me. Favourite holiday destination? Camping with the kids at Murchison in Central Victoria, Australia. It’s simple but we love it. Money’s not an issue, what’s your perfect car… and where would you like to drive it? I’m not a big car person, but I enjoy mechanical engineering and I’m rather competitive. So I’ll choose a solar powered car in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge. If you had had a crystal ball, would you have done anything differently? To borrow from Tolkien, it’s been an unexpected journey, and that’s what’s made it fun. I almost wouldn’t have wanted the crystal ball. I love the challenges! Describe your most embarrassing moment.
