BULLETIN Workflo Solutions creates new hub in Accrington Workflo Solutions has expanded its operations in East Lancashire, moving to a 4,000 sq. ft. facility on the Rising Bridge Business Park in Accrington. The company opened its first office outside Scotland eighteen months ago, identifying the north west of England as the most appropriate location to establish its first regional hub. The move to Accrington underlines the exponential growth Workflo Solutions has achieved in the north west in a relatively short timeframe. Managing Director Michael Field said: “Rising Bridge Business Park is a great location for the next chapter in our development. The past 18 months has told us we were correct to establish a hub in the north west of England and as the country gradually unlocks from the pandemic, we’ll be ready to meet customers at our new showroom suite to help them refine their requirements as they adapt to a changing work environment.” He continued: “Accrington is an ideal location providing 4,000 sq. ft. across two floors – combining a reception and open plan office area on ground level, together with a full product showroom and document digitisation suite on the upper floor. This will shortly allow us to increase our staff complement as well, with five new positions immediately earmarked for the new facility.” www.workflo-solutions.co.uk Double apprentice successes IT specialists Neuways is celebrating the achievements of two apprentices who have passed their courses with flying colours despite extreme pandemic disruption. Georgia Burdell and Tom Sharratt recently completed their apprenticeships with Derby- based provider, Babington and have since progressed to become Business Administration Assistant and Technical Support Engineer, respectively. Neuways Managing Director, Martin Roberts, said: “We are delighted with the progress and performance we have seen from both Georgia and Thomas since they joined us on their apprenticeships. They both overcame the challenges posed by COVID-19 and transitioned successfully to remote working, as well as working hard to finish their courses outside of work. Their success is testament to their tenacity, determination and drive – all qualities we value in our staff, and to see it so evident in people at the beginning of their career is something special. “We are looking forward to welcoming more apprentices to the business in the future. They are a valuable part of the skills pipeline for us, and we will continue to help support and grow the depth of skills within the local community’s young people,” he added. www.neuways.com CDS awarded supplier status on new Crown Commercial Service’s print management framework Leeds-based strategic communications agency CDS has seen off tough competition to be named as one of seven key suppliers on the latest print management framework from Crown Commercial Service – the executive agency of the Cabinet Office. Under the agreement, CDS will be invited to mini-tender further opportunities to provide fully managed, end-to-end print management solutions across the public sector and wider public sector. Having worked closely with Crown Commercial Service since 2012, this is the third time CDS has been appointed to the framework – a popular route to market for those operating within the associated procurement teams – with the latest iteration remaining in place until 2024. David Burton, Principal Account Director (public sector) said: “Winning a place on this framework is vital to CDS' ability to work alongside the public sector in relation to print management contracts – and it will see our services across this sector increase. It’s our job to provide help and advice to clients to ensure they invest in a solution that’s fit for purpose – and don’t pay over-the-odds for things they don’t need.” www.cds.co.uk ASL achieves gold status ASL has been approved for a further 12 months on the Safe Contractor Scheme.
