Highly Commended: Chris Ellis, Account Director, VOWWholesale Colleagues described Chris as a professional, conscientious and tenacious individual who strives to succeed in all he does professionally. Distribution Marketing Team of the Year Sponsored by Epson Westcoast was a clear winner in this category, with judges noting that their marketing was consistent and powerful. OEM Marketing Team of the Year Sponsored by VOWWholesale Brother UK provided a solid submission with lots of statistics backing their claims. Judges said “Brother’s marketing is everywhere and highly visible to end- users.” The OEM was also noted for its prowess in dominating LinkedIn. Highly Commended: Kyocera The Judges applauded Kyocera’s “great evolution strategy” and noted that the launch of new branding on a single day utilising video, social media, company presentations, internal posters and branded give-aways was executed extremely well. Service Team of the Year Sponsored by Develop There were two standout winners in this category. ASL provided “a solid submission” that resulted in it being named the Dealer Service Team of the Year and Epson claimed the OEM Service Team of the Year award, with an entry that clearly demonstrated the service team’s ability to innovate and adapt to continue to support customers during the UK lockdown. PEOPLE AWARDS Industry Leader of the Year Sponsored by Westcoast Phil Jones, Managing Director, Brother UK Phil is a charismatic business leader, well respected and well-known. He consistently strives to put his colleagues and the community within which Brother operates front and centre. In additional to running the business, he dedicates a considerable amount of time sharing knowledge at conferences, industry events and via his social media platforms, as well as supporting SMEs on personal and business growth strategies. The COVID-19 pandemic saw Phil step up and share his expertise and experience in terms of supporting companies to get back to business in the new normal, across a number of platforms both on- and off-line. Under his leadership, Brother UK became the North West’s only business to receive independent certification for zero waste to landfill with Valpak, and twice won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for its outstanding achievements in sustainable development. The business also retained its Investors in People Platinum status in recognition of its support for employees and the wider community. Channel Leader of the Year Mark Davitt, UK&I Print Channel Manager, HP Inc. For this year only, we created an additional award which recognises an individual’s contribution to the channel. Mark was nominated by colleagues within the Account Manager of the Year category. On reading the submission, the judges unanimously agreed his achievements should be recognised with a special award. During his seven-year tenure at HP, Mark has built an unrivalled reputation for executing HP’s channel strategy. He has been instrumental in launching
