PRINTITRESELLER.UK 5 BUSINESS BRIEFING ECS The Greener Side – Sustainability through Simplicity Remanufacturing: Cartridges which meet our Partners requirements and demands must complete a number of quality control measures before being classified as eligible for remanufacturing. Successful cartridges will then be remanufactured back to OEM standard and placed onto the market. Reuse: Cartridges which don’t meet our Partners requirements or demands will be passed onto our Approved Recycling Partners, which in turn avoids cartridges from entering landfill sites, allowing them to be used in other markets. Shredding: Some cartridges are unfortunately damaged beyond repair, or cannot be remanufactured as they’re new-build compatible cartridges, however, shredding allows us to retain the use of the raw materials (plastics and metals) which can then be passed onto our Approved Recycling Partners who will make use of these materials to produce things such as plastic pellets and new metals. Where does simplicity come in? While our entire recycling process may seem very technical with a lot going on, our Partners have very little to do, other than place their empty cartridges into a recycling box which will be provided to them and simply notify us once it’s full. In return, they’ll receive a brand new empty recycling box, complete compliance with the WEEE Directive, and more points towards winning tenders. We take care of the entire process, including our partner’s documentation and waste transfer notes, helping them to steer clear of any red tape as well as boosting their green credentials. While 2020 has been a terrible year full of ups and mostly downs for the majority of businesses, our industries continued efforts towards protecting the environment an minimising our environmental impact are still very much a priority. What does your recycling process involve? The Greener Side provides one of the most successful toner cartridge recycling services in the UK. We’re at the forefront of the campaign to reduce, reuse and recycle the waste that our industries products and services produce. As a result we help to transform our industries green environmental credentials, with a process to match these values; n Using our licensed waste carrier, we’ll collect all of your full Greener Side recycling boxes from each of your registered locations.
