Konica Minolta expands production print portfolio Konica Minolta has broadened its production print portfolio with the launch of the AccurioPrint C750i that will provide full integration with cloud services. There are two versions: the AccurioPrint C750i that comes with Fiery Controller to ensure accuracy in colour reproduction and offers multiple colour management functions and the AccurioPrint C750i Flux, which is targeted at central reprographics departments. Both versions are designed to meet all functionality of a small-scale print shop or smart factory printing, all combined into a single unit. They offer an entirely digitised workspace, providing smooth workflow and managed content services. Updated features include single- pass document scanning capabilities with a speed of up to 280 images per minute, finishing options including a tri-fold function, enhanced security and a customisable graphical user interface in addition to the expanded software options. It prints up to 70ppm in colour (75ppm mono), has media flexibility of 52gsm to 300gsm and is offered with mixplex/mixmedia and an intelligent paper catalogue. www.konicaminolta.co.uk Focus On: What’s New Simple design and usability Konica Minolta’s new A3 mono i-Series bizhub devices help teams collaborate and move fluidly between different work scenarios and providers. The new models – 750i/650i/550i/450i/360i/300i bring easy-to-use, advanced IT services that users can access from the control panel. Konica Minolta MarketPlace is pre-installed on all devices and provides access to a wide range of IT services and applications, which are also managed centrally, simplifying operations for the IT department. The contemporary design boasts a smartphone-style user interface with a tiltable 10” touchscreen panel, rounded edges and LED status indicators. Via MarketPlace, users can access a personalise app that enables them to adjust the device to suit their individual working behaviour. Bitdefender’s anti-virus solution has been embedded in the new bizhub i-Series’ firmware and can be activated to deliver the highest level of protection. All bizhub i-Series models are GDPR compliant and can be equipped with bizhub SECURE. The new bizhub i-Series is equipped with a large number of sensors to enable self-diagnosis, and when used in conjunction with the Konica Minolta Remote Service Platform, minimises downtime and ensures uninterrupted use. The TJ series, which includes eight new thermal printer models, is designed to provide users operating across manufacturing, logistics, warehousing and transport, with print speeds of up to 14 inches- per-second to meet growing work volumes, precipitated by the sharp increase in online shopping. The devices can operate in both direct thermal and thermal transfer mode, which enables businesses to create a complete range of labelling solutions, from shipping labels to Hazchem warning signs. By using the correct ribbon and label combination, users can print labels that will withstand extremes in moisture, durability and chemical resistance. The new range of TJ devices expands Brother’s portfolio of thermal print solutions, which now includes 39 models, and comes with a three-year warranty as standard and the option to purchase extended four or five-year terms. Each device comes with an operating expense purchasing option for reseller partners to use, which will enable their customers to buy new products without the need for a large, upfront payment. www.brother.co.uk Jabra Evolve certified for Microsoft Teams Jabra’s Evolve series is certified for Microsoft Teams, the company has also announced plans to support existing users with a free and flexible upgrade to their device via a firmware update. The upgrade is not just limited to Jabra’s headset series – select collaboration and call- centric products, including the Jabra PanaCast, are certified for Microsoft Teams too. Jabra will tap into its decade-long experience of developing technology in collaboration with Microsoft to offer its customers a seamless transition to Teams. The company will provide existing customers who have legacy certified products a flexible upgrade when making the move to Teams. The upgrade will happen via a free firmware update that will automatically be prompted when users connect their headsets to Jabra Direct or Xpress.
