Hybrid workforce headache Resellers will have a central role to play in helping IT leads manage hybrid workforces as employee demand is split between working in the office and at home, according to Brother UK. A study of almost 300 office-based employees reveals a divide in appetite for returning to work, with 53% of respondents saying they feel safer working from home in the current climate while 37% say they are looking forward to getting back to the office. Andy Johnson, Brother’s Head of Product and Solutions Management said: “IT leads are faced with the challenge of not only managing a mix of office and home working technology on a longer- term basis, but also making sure they can operate productively while keeping employees safe. “Businesses will need their reseller partners on hand to help them with a range of challenges, from ensuring they have the right printing and scanning devices so people can work in the office safely, to providing remote working tools so those at home can operate securely at distance.” www.brother.co.uk Kingsfield focus on customer service Kingsfield Computers is backing itself to achieve significant growth by placing the emphasis on delivering excellent customer service and the best prices. The Northampton-based company is already a major supplier to NHS Trusts and to both local and central government, and as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to put pressure on public sector budgets, believes that delivering a simple service that meets the direct needs of its customers is the recipe for success. As a result of its uncompromising approach to customer service and value, Kingsfield expects to achieve significant growth in 2020. While it is currently one of the smaller IT suppliers on major public sector frameworks, it expects turnover to grow by over 40% this year, to reach £5 million. The company is making further investments in internal systems and personnel and expects to achieve even higher rates of growth in 2021. Kingsfield is currently listed as a supplier on five technology frameworks, including Crown Commercial Services (CCS) and National Procurement Service for Wales. It achieved a quality score of 86.2 (out of 100) on CCS. Separately, it has an average score of 4.9 out of 5.0 on Trustpilot reviews, and is working towards becoming ISO 9001 certified. www.kingsfieldcomputers.co.uk Managing cybersecurity A Tenable commissioned study of more than 800 global business and cybersecurity leaders conducted by Forrester Consulting revealed the vast majority of UK organisations (96%) have experienced a business-impacting cyber-attack in the past 12 months. 63% of respondents in the UK have witnessed a dramatic increase in the number of business-impacting cyber-attacks over the past two years. Unfortunately, these attacks had damaging effects, with organisations reporting loss of employee data (44%), financial loss or theft (36%) and customer attrition (34%). EMEA Channel Director Guy March, said: “It is crucial for reseller partners to frame cybersecurity solutions within the context of specific business needs in order to truly help organisations tackle the damaging effects of cyber-attacks. “Resellers play a vital role in helping security and business leaders align to better manage cybersecurity as a strategic business risk. Channel partners that can speak the language of both business and security leaders will certainly have an advantage in helping organisations navigate the growing number of relentless cyberattacks.” www.tenable.com PRINTITRESELLER.UK 11 BULLETIN New opportunities for Direct Labels UK Adding to its digital capabilities, Direct Labels UK in Nottingham has installed a Konica Minolta AccurioLabel 230 toner press to work alongside an established inkjet machine.
