01732 759725 PRINTIT AWARDS 20 The deadline to submit entries for the inaugural PrintIT Awards is fast approaching and the team has seen a flurry of entries coming in thick and fast over the past few weeks The clock is ticking We’ve designed the awards process to ensure that we reward parties based on their excellence in the industry, the quality of their products and their dedication to service. The awards are based on merit, not on the number of votes received (with the exception of three vendor award categories, where dealers, resellers, managed print and IT service providers are invited to cast their votes). Expert judging panel The remaining category entries will be judged by an independent panel of specialists handpicked by us based on their knowledge and experience of the marketplace. We are very proud to be working with some of the industry’s leading figures; our expert judging panel comprises: Ian Birch, Managing Director, IBC Group; Eric Crump, Director of Strategic Alliances, Ringdale; Sofia Dahlqvist, Director, 55 Connect Ltd; Louella Fernandes, Director, Quocirca; Darren Lewitt, Former Director, Midwich; Brendan Perring, General Manager, IPIA; Jeff Root, UK Country Manager, Mobi Systems; and Julian Stafford, Former Managing Director, Midshire. Judging day will take place on July 8 and in light of the current crisis, we will be meeting virtually rather than in London as originally planned. The shortlist will be announced on August 24, if you’d like to be on it, then please make sure you submit your entries before 5pm on June 5! Sponsors This event would not be possible without the support of organisations in this industry and all of us in the team would like to thank our key sponsors and partners for their participation: Develop/DSales HP Lexmark VOWWholesale Westcoast Apogee Brother ECI Epson ISL Group Kofax Kyocera Pelikan Sharp Sindoh Toshiba The Field Solutions Group is also on-board as the awards’ Official Recruitment Partner, HP is sponsoring pre-dinner drinks and Riso has signed up as the awards’ Entertainment Sponsor. It seems so long ago since we announced the launch of the inaugural PrintIT Awards at the beginning of the year, and it’s hard to believe that the June 5 deadline for submitting entries is now just around the corner. Our dedicated awards specialists Susannah and Paul Johnson, have been working round the clock supporting vendors, resellers and OEMs with their entries, and we’re delighted that so many of the fantastic people and businesses in our sector have embraced the opportunity to get the recognition they deserve. Comprehensive programme The PrintIT Awards 2020 is all about celebrating the achievements of our vital, ever-changing technology sector, and we have created a comprehensive programme of awards covering all aspects of the industry. Resilient and adaptable The world we are all working in now is as far removed from normal life as any of us could have ever possibly imagined. The companies within this sector, many of which have been built by entrepreneurs from the ground up, are at the forefront of developments in document processing, easing the flow of information from paper to digital and back again; cloud computing, sustainability; security and mobility, to name a few. Many companies were forced to very quickly pivot their business to provide essential services remotely or in a socially distanced, safe manner, and I know from talking to many, that the resilience and adaptability that this industry is renowned for has been well and truly put to the test. I’m really keen to showcase these success stories so please feel free to get in touch with me to share how your business has evolved. I hope that like all of us here at Kingswood Media, you are all looking forward to the awards event in October. After many weeks of enforced isolation, where meetings have been via video link and events held virtually, I for one, can’t wait for the opportunity to see people again in person and in real life! www.printitawards.co.uk GOLD SPONSORS CATEGORY SPONSORS It’s hard to believe that the June 5 deadline for submitting entries is now just around the corner
