01732 759725 12 BULLETIN Cyber-resilience Kaspersky has developed a Cyber Capacity Building Program – dedicated training on product security evaluation. Available in online and offline formats, it is designed to help companies, government organisations and academia develop practical tools and knowledge for security assessments. Only then can they ensure the security and integrity of third-party applications that are integrated into their IT infrastructures and networks. Through the programme, organisations are able to identify cybersecurity risks, as well as manage and mitigate them. The programme requires basic knowledge of the software development lifecycle, programming, and information security. The training will provide organisations with an introduction to product security evaluation and threat modelling, as well as source code review and vulnerability management. Taking part in the programme pilot will be free of charge and will be launched first for government organisations and academia in Q3, 2020. Later this year the training will be available for business organisations. www.kaspersky.com Toshiba partners with Arcanum Toshiba has partnered with Welsh cyber and information security consultancy specialist. The company now adds this latest accolade to its BSI accredited ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and its BSI accredited OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health & Safety Management System certifications. Chairman David Bond, said: “We are now one of the very few companies in the UPS industry in the UK to hold all three of these key BSI accreditations, enabling us to deliver more than regulatory compliance and the ability to meet supplier requirements. The BSI route was challenging but we wanted to provide the highest level of certification to complement our commitment to product and service quality.” www.centiel.co.uk Trade Copiers receives Queen's Award Penrith-based Trade Copiers has been given the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in recognition of its short-term growth in international trade. www.tradecopiers.co.uk Digital label pioneer invests in Konica Minolta Label Tec Scotland has installed the first Konica Minolta AccurioLabel 230 press in the UK to increase capacity in its digital department. Running at the company’s Airdrie facility in North Lanarkshire, the AL230 replaces another ‘UK first’ Konica Minolta label machine, the bizhub PRESS C71cf, which has been printing four-colour labels for Label Tec’s customers since 2015. The AccurioLabel 230 has been vital in keeping Label Tec’s customers supplied with labels during the COVID-19 crisis, despite a large part of the company’s 20 staff being furloughed while most others are working from home to comply with social distancing. Managing Director, Paul Dunne, said: “The AL230 is so easy to run, and with no plates to worry about, our pre-press guy can work from home and just transfer the print files via Dropbox. “We are now putting a lot of specialist jobs on the press that we wouldn’t necessarily have printed digitally before, and it is coping well with it all. The print is even resistant to alcohol – I tested some polypropylene by rubbing it with hand sanitiser and it’s bulletproof!” www.konicaminolta.co.uk LogicMonitor extends global channel reach LogicMonitor has announced the global expansion of its LogicMonitor Partner Network. This tool allows users to measure areas in a room plan, redistribute work areas, redefine walking routes, set up waiting areas, place information signs, set up disinfection dispensers and much more. Managing Director Armin Alt, said: “Our room plan itself is not intended for this purpose. However, in the past few days and weeks we have realised that every company is desperately looking for help to redesign workplaces in a safe and employee-friendly manner.
