The charity, selected by a staff ballot run in December supports children and young people recovering from traumatic experiences or dealing with emerging mental health difficulties in Essex. Through proactive listening and therapeutic practice, they promote self-resilience, and greater self-awareness. Managing Director Mark Bailey, said: “At EBM we are very conscious of helping our local community. We are lucky to be in a position to give something back, and it’s always great to have the team here get involved through the staff ballot.” www.ebmltd.co.uk Concord joins Commercial Concord College, a long-standing client of Commercial, is one of the latest schools to join forces with the Managed IT division to support IT Schools Africa. It is donating old IT equipment as part of the Managed IT with a Conscience programme. This means that the college’s old laptops, computers, tablets and monitors are securely cleaned to comply with GDPR by Commercial Managed IT, and then sent by IT Schools Africa to schools in Kenya, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe. This enables lives to be transformed as a result of quality education through access to e-learning. www.commerical.co.uk Antalis to offer universal carbon offsetting Antalis has taken steps to update its carbon offset schemes to ensure that it can serve the needs of interested customers and help them achieve their environmental ambitions. The company has announced that all material purchased from across its papers, packaging and visual communications ranges can now be carbon offset, with some paper ranges already supplied as fully carbon balanced. Working together with partners from Forest Carbon and World Land Trust, Antalis is able to calculate the kilograms of carbon emissions it takes to procure any material type including plastics, aluminium composite material and nylon. These carbon credits can be purchased by customers to support the creation of new UK woodlands (via Forest Carbon and the Antalis Woodlands) or to preserve global forests (via Forest Carbon in South America; or a World Land Trust project in Vietnam). Customers also have the choice to support a blend of all three options. Forest Carbon leads the way in voluntary carbon woodland creation in the UK and abroad. Since 2006 it has planted more than eight million trees in the UK, and a further 2.5 million overseas, equating to the removal of over 2.5 million tonnes of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. In collaboration with World Land Trust, through the Carbon Balanced Paper scheme, Antalis is enabling its customers to balance the unavoidable carbon emissions of paper-based products. The money raised supports World Land Trust projects in Vietnam, one of the most biologically diverse countries on Earth. World Land Trust has enabled approximately 169,000 tonnes of carbon emissions to be absorbed every year, whilst also protecting 41 threatened, endangered and critically endangered wildlife species. www.antalis.co.uk At Quest Logistics we have built up a reputation specialising in photocopier removals in the UK and Europe.
