01732 759725 BULLETIN One year anniversary A year has passed since Commercial last confirmed its commitment to the Living Wage movement. In 2016 the government introduced a rise in the minimum wage for over 25s and called this new statutory minimum the National Living Wage. However, there is still a gap between the amount all employers have to pay by law, and the real living wage that meets the cost of living. That’s why thousands of UK employers have voluntarily committed to going further – because it’s fair. “We are proud and pleased to be a living wage employer,” said Commercial Managing Director and Founder, Simone Hindmarch. “As well as being fair, we believe that being a living wage employer gives staff across the whole company a boost, at all wage levels, and contributes to staff wellbeing.” www.commercial.co.uk 10 Apogee Launches ARMA Apogee has announced the launch of a new client support platform – ARMA – a remote management application that proactively and remotely monitors all printing device activity, enabling automated and proactive remote support that optimises client’s performance as part of a managed print service. The deal marks the first major move of significant scale towards industry consolidation in the Irish ICT managed services sector as businesses seek outsourced support to meet ever more complex and demanding IT infrastructure and business transformation challenges. Following this acquisition, the newly enlarged group now creates the largest and fastest growing Irish headquartered IT procurement and IT managed services business with combined revenues close to € 150 million and employing 220 people. CEO Paschal Naylor, said: “This development is a positive step for both Arkphire and Trilogy Technologies, which together have a shared ambition to continue to scale both in Ireland and internationally and to respond to the needs of the market with a stronger, more comprehensive IT services offering from our combined resources.” Both companies will initially remain as distinct businesses and the acquisition will have no impact on the day-to-day business operations. The senior management teams across both organisations will remain in their roles and further opportunities for more integration across the wider group will be achieved in time.
