01732 759725 BULLETIN 6 ASL Group acquires Smart Print ASL Group has acquired digital printing equipment supplier Smart Print Technology Ltd, further developing its portfolio of managed-office services. Based in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, the 16-year-old MPS provider specialises in production print machines and is one of the leading independent production print suppliers in the UK. ASL says the acquisition further enhances service for customers and strengthens its proposition as a leading managed-office services supplier. Commenting on the deal, Managing Director Mark Garius, said: “We are extremely pleased to welcome Smart Print on board; its expertise will add significant value to our team. The company has recently upgraded its vehicles, moving from diesel to electric models. Managing Director Gareth Williams, said: “We are seeing extreme protests against global warming, with Extinction Rebellion at the forefront in the public eye for demonstrations. Agree or disagree with their actions, their point of extreme pollution continuing at the rate it is, is unacceptable, and everyone has a responsibility to make changes in their emissions generated.” Ontrac Digital looks to continue servicing clients in and around the Midlands, in the knowledge its carbon footprint will be greatly reduced. www.ontracdigital.co.uk Commercial charity support As part of its Change Champions employee volunteering scheme, a team of seven from across Commercial carried out garden clearance, tree lopping and general gardening, for the James Hopkins Trust. Based in Gloucester, the Trust provides care for babies and children up to the age of five with a life-limiting condition, while supporting their families with respite. A 2017 Change Champions team created this charity day for employees to take paid leave to go into the community and support a cause they hold dear. To date over 40 days of paid leave have been granted. Account Director Craig Tomes, said: “We were very pleased to be able to support the James Hopkins Trust in this way.
