We have been engaging with several key retail brands in the UK and Ireland. They have been talking to us about our retail solutions, banner print capability and flexible media handling. We have some exciting projects on the go, so keep an eye out on your high street to see our solutions in action. Where do you see the next big opportunity? OKI is focused on a number of key verticals, automotive, retail, hospitality and leisure to name a few. With our current drive and investment, we expect our next big opportunity to come from one of these big sectors. What would make your day job easier? More hours in the day. Less holidays for customers! What’s the best bit of business advice you’ve been given? ‘Business is serious; however, you don’t always have to be serious in business’. We spend a huge amount of our lives working. It should be fun. If people are happy then productivity is higher. Employers retain good staff and the positivity of its people is reflected in the brand. I am a big believer that people buy from people. If you had had a crystal ball, would you have done anything differently? I think it’s important to focus on the future, we cannot change the past. However, if I could have done anything differently it would have been to fail faster, we learn the most from failing. Don’t be afraid of it. Describe your most embarrassing moment I am sure there has been a few, but none that I can recall right now. What was your first job? Technical support consultant. What would be your dream job? I am living the dream! How do you like to spend your spare time? With family, walking the dogs and relaxing. Fine dining and good wine, or curry and a pint? Curry and a pint. Money’s not an issue, what’s your perfect car… and where would you like to drive it? Mercedes SLS, round an F1 track with a heap of F1 cars breathing down your neck. Favourite holiday destination? I do like a winter holiday snowboarding. So anywhere with good snow.
