There are a number of suppliers and so- called ‘remanufacturers’ who supply sub- standard products that aren’t produced using a complete remanufacturing process including all of the necessary checks, tests, cleaning and part replacements. This is the main reason why we insist that dealerships and retailers always choose a supplier who has been accredited with ISO 9001 as it guarantees that you can expect to receive a products that will match or exceed your expectations and will comply with industry specifications. We advise that companies who value quality as one of their main requirements when purchasing a product should avoid doing so from a remanufacturer or distributor without ISO Certification. Companies that produce products without ISO certification can provide no guarantee that their products will even work. Printing capability, print quality, print speed and product features are all likely to be below standard, which can affect the entire supply chain; End users that have been provided with a sub-par product will experience the result of a poorly produced product and will be unlikely to provide repeat business, while retailers and dealerships will have a damaged reputation as a result of providing a low quality product to their customer. We find that one of the major barriers when it comes to finding new business is due to companies’ past experiences with below-standard, uncertified remanufactured products. This in turn gives other remanufacturers a bad name, which is what we’re trying to avoid. Sub-standard remanufactured products can always be avoided by only using a reputable ISO Certified remanufacturer such as ECS. What Is ISO 9001 and what does it mean for ECS? In order to gain an ISO accreditation a company must be audited and assessed against specific criteria, depending upon the nature of the certification.
