The company says the upgrades include out-of-the-box functionality and a 5” LCD touchscreen for one-touch control of daily tasks. Smart toner cartridges, with auto-seal removal enables users to change cartridges in seconds. Canon has also added five new applications to enable users to: automatically name scanned documents and send them to pre-assigned folders; enhance the text quality of scanned copy in one touch; change the language of the touch screen display in one easy step; fax and store a copy of the sent document in a specified location; and access the application library setting guide, remote UI description and user manual link at the touch of a button. www.canon.co.uk Sharp strengthens POS line-up Lexmark boosts SMB offering Lexmark has expanded its GO Line series, adding six new devices designed for small and medium- sized businesses. The Lexmark GO Line series delivers enterprise-level durability, reliability, security and features in a smaller, lighter, lower cost device. The new additions include two colour single- function printers, the C3224dw and C3326dw; three colour multifunction devices, the MC3224dwe, MC3224adwe and MC3326adwe; and a monochrome MFP, the MB2236adwe. The colour devices print up to 24 or 26 colour pages per minute, while the mono device features print speeds of up to 36 pages per minute. The multifunction products feature a 2.8” touchscreen. The colour devices are up to 30% smaller and lighter than Lexmark’s predecessor products. Wi-Fi is standard, along with enhanced connectivity and support for mobile users. These devices also come with multicore processing and Lexmark’s full-spectrum security, which ensures the same level of security and protection found in Lexmark enterprise- class devices. A one-piece toner cartridge combines imaging components with Unison toner, making them easily removable and recyclable through Lexmark’s Cartridge Collection program.
