3 Whenever I’m talking to dealers and OEMs, supporting charities is one of the most common things we discuss. The printer industry is a generous one! In recent times, charitable giving has undergone a seismic change, it’s no longer just about raising money, but more about creating strategic partnerships that benefit both the business and the charity. This month’s VOX POP focuses on that theme, on page 42 you can read about what OEMs are doing and next month, we turn to the channel for their perspective. 30 years in business is no mean feat and this issue I caught up with two companies who are marking this milestone. It’s been three years since I last spoke to Pinnacle Group CEO Clive Hamilton and a lot has happened in that time. On page 26 he outlines the company’s growth strategy and plans to mark its 30th anniversary, which naturally includes a number of new charity/community projects. Business I.T. Systems will achieve its 30th year next year, the firm is celebrating record growth and is looking to expand into Asia and the US (page 28).
