WHAT'S NEW 01732 759725 26 Focus On: What’s New Sharp has added four new high speed models to its colour Advanced and Essentials Series line-up, completing the product family of 14 models ranging from 26 to 60 pages per minute. The new models (MX- 5051, MX-6051, MX-5071, MX-6071) are designed for busy workgroups. The new colour Advanced and Essentials Series delivers robust security features, including a firmware attack prevention and a self-healing capability, which can identify unwarranted changes and restore the machine firmware to its original state. An application whitelisting feature guards the machine’s system and memory from any malware attacks. Additionally, administrators can centrally manage the device using Active Directory Group Policy. The new colour models also easily integrate with today’s connected workplace and offer quick access to an expanded list of cloud services that include Box and Dropbox. Sharp’s new Application Portal allows administrators to add new cloud connectors and applications right from the touchscreen of the machine, and sends on screen notifications when there are updates to these applications, ensuring the device is always up to date. The new models are also equipped with enhanced productivity features, such as the ability to feed up to 50 envelopes from the standard paper drawer. www.sharp.co.uk Seamless integration As part of its ongoing expansion of Pressero Integrated Services, Aleyant now offers seamless integration with EFI PrintSmith Vision and EFI Pace print MIS solutions for advanced order-to-invoicing automation. Originally developed in conjunction with franchisor Alliance Franchise Brands, whose franchise members benefit from integration efforts, Aleyant has now made this highly productive integration available to all Pressero customers as part of Pressero Integrated Services. www.aleyant.com Print devices for an eco-friendly workplace Kyocera’s new range of A4 monochrome ECOSYS products have been designed to help companies manage their print output more securely and efficiently, while significantly reducing their environmental impact. This new ECOSYS series is the latest addition to the company’s A4 monochrome high speed laser portfolio. The range’s refreshed design distinguishes it from previous generations, as does the updated feature set, developed to enhance the user experience as well as overall performance. The ECOSYS P3145dn, ECOSYS P3150dn, and ECOSYS P3155dn printers operate at high productivity rates and register first print times that are up to 13% faster than previous generations. This improvement is down to the new polygon motor control flow employed in their systems. Such features optimise the devices’ start times which therefore speeds up the initial print process. Kyocera has carefully integrated more eco-friendly settings into these devices’ systems and overall design to promote sustainability thereby minimising environmental impact. The units are built with long-life components, which reduces manufacturing and maintenance requirements. The eco-friendly pulp packaging adds a further tick to the devices’ environmental checklist. A Data Security Kit feature has been included as a new way to offer companies the option of additional data storage in addition to the use of integrated advanced data encryption elements. For superior security, the Kit enables data to be encrypted even before being stored on a hard disk. www.kyoceradocumentsolutions. co.uk Sharp refreshes A3 colour MFP line-up ...continued Konica Minolta targets new growth wave Konica Minolta’s AccurioLabel 230, the latest version of its highly successful digital toner press will make its debut at Labelexpo in Brussels, Belgium, from 24-27 September.
