The new services and solutions which build on HP’s office printing momentum include: n HP FutureSmart 4 Firmware: This new version of firmware for HP Enterprise-class printers and MFPs delivers productivity with a cleaner and more intuitive interface for users. The update features new capabilities, including Serverless Job Accounting that enables printers to record analytics without requiring a central server and empowering select print settings to be mirrored via USB to new printers – vastly speeding set-up. n Microsoft SCCM integration : Strengthening its security arsenal, HP is the first print OEM offering integration with Microsoft SCCM. This integration enables IT management to use one tool to configure printer security in concert with all other SCCM-connected devices on the network. n McAfee SIEM integration: To expand threat monitoring, HP has also achieved certified integration with the SIEM tool McAfee Enterprise Security Manager. McAfee SIEM provides actionable intelligence to prioritise, investigate and respond to potential malware attacks on HP printers. n Immersive Analytics Service: Leveraging HP Labs’ advances in visualisation and analytics, this new component of HP’s Business Intelligence Services provides customers with a more immersive view of the key driving factors in their print environment. Through this in-depth engagement, HP consultants can help customers quickly pinpoint behaviours to accelerate digitisation, efficiency gains and risk reduction. www.hp.com New latex large format devices Ricoh has announced two new next generation Ricoh Pro L5130/L5160 latex roll- to-roll printers will be made available throughout Europe in early 2019. The newest additions to its print portfolio print at segment-leading speeds of up to 44sqm per hour in outdoor standard mode and 25sqm per hour in indoor standard mode. The series produces applications up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi. Additional features include automated maintenance, a durable design, Ricoh’s GREENGUARD-certified latex inks and industrial-grade Ricoh print heads. www.ricoh-europe.com Epson brings EcoTank brand to businesses Epson is bringing its trusted EcoTank brand to businesses, with the launch of three new mono models. Delivering an extremely low total cost of ownership in a user-friendly and compact design, the ET-M2140, ET-M1120 and ET-M1100 bring high reliability and minimal user intervention for customers ranging from corporate to healthcare, small offices, home offices and more. Seven additional models will be coming in the near future to address an even wider range of customer needs. Across the range of 10 models, features include PCL and GDI printer languages, Automatic Document Feeder, double- sided printing, 4-in-1 functionality, Ethernet, USB and Wi-Fi connectivity, print speeds of up to 20ppm and ink yields of up to 11,000 pages. www.epson.eu High-performance printing Toshiba Tec has expanded its product portfolio to include two new A4 monochrome printing devices. The multifunction e-STUDIO478S and e-STUDIO528P combine compact design with reliability and low running costs, making them ideal for small to medium-sized companies and workgroups. Both models have mobile printing support to allow direct printing from smartphones and tablets and both feature a colour LCD touch screen user interface which is highly intuitive in operation: all of the system’s functions can be accessed with a swipe and a touch of a finger. As with all of Toshiba’s multifunction ranges, these new models adhere to its low carbon footprint procedures, which minimise the environmental impact throughout the lifecycle of the device.
